. >> bill: trey yengst reports from the middle east where we start in the northern israeli town of haifa. trey, hello to you. >> good morning. we're learning that more israeli forces are headed into southern lebanon as israel's war against hezbollah continues. the israeli army confirming that a captain, 22-year-old, was killed during an ambush this morning in southern lebanon. we expect the casualty rates from that incident to rise. it gives you a sense of the active combat along the border just about 17 miles from where we are standing now. it comes as israel is surveying the damage following that extensive ballistic missile attack overnight that targeted this country from iran. more than 180 missiles soared through the skies of israel. some were intercepted. others slammed into the ground below. israel's advance missile defense system was working to take down much of the fire. videos circulating show significant impacts and craters caused by the missiles. one palestinian man was killed in the west bank and two israelis injured. iranance were responding to the killing of hezbollah leade
