tri-valley to concord, taste of. bay side temperatures climbing into the 70s and 80s, if the strong sea breeze today felt a little bit too chilly, you got 70s and 80s now bay side around the peninsula. 68 for half moon bay, low 70s closer to san francisco and north bay temperatures the likely the warmest we see around the bay area with numbers in the mid to upper 90s in reach sonoma and santa rosa. on top of that, temperatures trend hotter, north bay and solano county into the pink color there, temperatures likely throughout solano county above 100 degrees. there is your best bet for finding triple digit temperatures, and look at san francisco and oakland, 70s to upper 80s bayside as we see these hot temperatures, dry conditions on the hills, we have to watch fire danger at times as the wind picks up late tomorrow, part of the sea breeze which leads to some cooling once we get into tuesday. notice how tuesday's highs have dropped back into the upper 80s and low 90s. still plenty hot, not as hot as the temperatures wi

that is the tri- valley and dublin below. >> paul heggen is here. it seems like we will be talking about this forever. >> especially by early next week. at least near-normal temperatures for the rest of this week. fire danger will remain elevated. not much change through the first day of the holiday weekend. minor ups and downs on the seven-day. looking outside and seeing fog. it will eventually spread backend. 57 is the temperature downtown. low to mid 70s for concord and santa rosa. temperatures dropping to the 40s for most of us. temperatures slightly below average. close to where we are supposed to be. if you're getting up early to catch a glimpse of that eclipse, the real show begins at 4:11:00 am. only 16 minutes when that eclipse will be busy visible. the maximum will be 4:19 am. temperatures will not be the problem. the issue will be what we usually see overnight. i don't think it will be a lot in terms of fog on the ground but there will be plenty of that cloud cover spreading into the valleys. set a backup if you plan to get up that early.

it basically covers the entire bay and gets inland to the tri valley.u a couple the different vantage points. let's go to a live camera, this from our roof looking over the bay bridge. you can see a widespread view on satellite. that's today. when we look to the rest of today, these clouds burn back and we get sunshine by early afternoon and daytime highs that climb to pretty much where they were yesterday. there are no differences between the way you remember yesterday feeling and the way today will feel. i have to move on and let's get to the headlines on what's coming our way. first item is the heat advisory on monday. that is the focus of this forecast. it is monday because the heat is going to come on so fast, and it is going to happen right on the first significant holiday of the summer when so many people will be the concern then becomes with hot enough temperatures for heat advisory monday, you could run into some mild heat related illnesses if you are not paying attention, not staying hydrated or finding shade. this includes north bay communiti

tri-valley with low 80s, giving away to mid 80s east of the diablo range. the cooler temperatures, 50s along the coast and san francisco. low to mid 60s along the east side of the bay. we will see a large-scale weather pattern shifting around a big, big area of high pressure is starting to weaken already. as we head into the weekend we will see an upper-level storm system dropping in from the north. that direction does not allow it to grab a whole lot of moisture. but that will be right overhead. so we will at least see more clouds and a decent chance of some patchy mist and drizzle. and with that low right on top of us, the upper level of the atmosphere, it will be cold up there. that gives us a better chance of a few showers to develop. that also brings the possibility that a couple of the showers might develop into thunderstorms. that is a real outside chance but something we will keep an eye on. the future cast just shows that patchy mist and drizzle as we head into the early hours of saturday morning. then the first hint of moisture we've seen in the f

here's a live look out over the tri-valley. city of dublin, one of the hotspots upcoming and looking live in oakland now, it will be warming up there as well. here is our chief neurologist paul heggen with that update. >> we go from spring to summer in the space of about 40 hours over the memorial day weekend, from near-normal, late may, spring weather on saturday, to our transition day on sunday to flat out hot weather away from the water on memorial day monday. temperatures tomorrow very close to what is average for late may, temperatures jump significantly especially inland on sunday and near triple digit temperatures on the way for memorial day. they will warm up near the water as well around the bay temperatures will be in the 70s even to around 80 degrees and along the coast of drizzle which the mid-60s them of any offshore wind that develops will not be quite strong enough to overcome any marine influence is a kind of mitigates it a little bit. inland temptress will be hot, heat advisory on monday from noon to nine p.m.

. >>> take a live look, the tri- valley where fire danger is dampening of it. meteorologist darren peck is in for paul tonight. >> for now, we should say. for now because of the situation that we've got. if you just look at this dean from treasure island right now, there is a lot of dampness. that cloud is just really thickening up and almost to getting down to the point where we will start calling it fog. if we look at the view over toward the bay bridge, it is pretty much on the deck of the roadway there now, so you likely will encounter some fog as you are taking the drive across the bay bridge, and looked down 880, look how much higher this is, right? so it had been clear here but this is now about to overtake the east bay. you are going to get great over overnight, we will wake up tomorrow with the same mid- level grandma ray clouds hovering over the tri-valley. a big impact in temperatures today, if you were inland, look at the current numbers, it is like mid-50s for most spots in the bay and low 70s now but we ranged mostly in the low 80s today for inlan

no surprise there to see may gray in full effect but look at the last 30 minutes and the tri- valley. that is the scene over dublin so these clouds after giving you some sunshine, more sunshine than not today in the tri-valley but about an hour and a half ago the clouds coming back to go but that strong onshore flow if it is enough to bring in the clouds, look at the cool down. livermore was 12 degrees cooler, that was the most extreme. meanwhile san jose was only three degrees drop. that 68, it was about 20 degrees warmer than that, two days ago. so we've done the cooldown, what comes next? this small chance of rain for tomorrow morning, and i should preface it by saying it is a small chance of sprinkles, more like marine layer missed, it will not be much but look what is going on on the future cast. this is tonight. a few isolated thunderstorms way up north to mount shasta but that system that you can't even see in the overnight hours we develops the storms over here on the east side of the state. a few thunderstorms in the sierra, there should be enough rain for those that there is

mid 70s for concord and the tri-valley. sonoma, probably some of the warmer spots tomorrow with some upper 70s in reach. so hour by hour, low clouds inland for the morning. clearing skies for the afternoon. plan on a cloudy finish to the weekend here on the coast. it will be a little different, the last few days we've had showers on the hilltops. more of that activity starts to move east as the area of low pressure responsible for that starts to head off towards the east to california. heading into monday, a slight warmup. notice what happens here on the coast. we begin to see a little bit of clearing. what will change about monday is a bit of a northwest wind down through the valley. so that means our highs will likely climb into low 80s for monday. but the bigger picture here still looks mild. we had one colder low move out, then we're going to see another one here heading into thursday and friday. a little too far north of the bay area to bring us any showers here. but we could see a little more late-season snow for the

temperatures for the tri-valley reaching close to 80 degrees and upper 70s to around 80 with the warmest temperatures as usual east of the diablo range but they go to mid 80s there and around the bay it will be cool with mid-60s for the east bay with upper 50s to around 60 degrees for san francisco and sausalito and temperatures in the north they also close to normal for this time of year in the low to mid 70s until you had further north in sonoma and napa counties we reach the 70s if not into the 80s and even up to around 90 degrees for parts of mendocino and lake counties by thursday afternoon. down the line we have changes had underway and now high pressure dominating the weather starting to weaken but what will happen as we head the weekend we will see an upper level storm system dropping in from the north. the path of that doesn't allow a lot of moisture to send it up towards us will be fairly moisture starved but it will give us more clouds and a decent chance of missed and drizzle especially along the coast. the problem is when this happens, the upper levels of the atmosphere will

we can see high atop parts of the east bay, looking at the tri-valley. another bright and sunny day. at times those winds have been picking up. check out the seven-day forecast at the bottom of the screen as we talk about what extreme drought means for you, even though we did have some rain, it just wasn't enough. now we have to worry about a fire season happening year round as well as low water levels in the areas they use put out some of those fires that do spark up. and looking at how it impacts our agriculture, now those crops need irrigation. they needed it very early in the season. that causes food prices to rise. then as we go into the summer months, water becomes more expensive as it becomes a lot less -- lot harder to find. and then it is also a big hit to the sierra economy. we think recently, they just canceled the last survey, which usually brings a lot of people to california to enjoy some snow and the recreational activities. now as we look at our temperatures, at least we have more comfortable air moving in. we're now at 50 degrees in san
