it's 67 degrees now and throughout the tri valley with the relative humidity at 90.you want to compare this with last week at three o'clock on tuesday, just as weak during the heat of the day, we were in the teens as far as our relative humidity is concerned, bone dry, very brittle vegetation. now, today we have relatively amid itty between about 52% in san jose, too. 91% in half moon bay, so we still have a little bit of moisture in the atmosphere, which is certainly good news in case there's any kind of firefighting efforts. meanwhile it's the winds when the winds are out of the south. that's when we see the higher humidity and we're still seeing a bit of that in the north bay. we're going to see these winds fluctuate to the west 10 to 20 mph during the day, and that's when the relative humidity will begin to come down right now. we're looking at a shield of clouds from the coast through the bay. into our inland areas in the central valley as well. during the afternoon hours, we're going to see some of these clouds retreat right there in our inland areas to the sou

you head over to livermore and tri-valley, more comfortable weather there inland. 80s and reach, 70sbay in the 60s around services going upper 60s for oakland and highs near 80 degrees in downtown san jose and low 80s around morgan hill. here is the big weather story. the smoke is higher up. this is vertically integrated smoke, you see it in the sky but not necessarily the smoke you breathe down here. it will be moving over us as we head into tuesday morning. in terms of the smoke closer to sea level, those numbers are not changing quite as much of the you noticed we get into tuesday around the north bay, and i bet into areas in the eastern sections of the east bay valley, you may begin to see moderate air-quality levels moving in. we have a smoke advisory for tomorrow and we see potentially another change in the forecast. that is not smoke, as is mid- level moisture that could set off a chance of isolated showers across some of the hills. that is tuesday morning. and then tuesday afternoon, chance of scattered showers and potentially thundershowers. we hope this map is correct. arou

in general, tri-valley, 580, 680, low 70s. along the east bay shoreline, san leandro goes to 67. we'll be 76 in santa rosa. low 80s showing up north. there's your fourth of july forecast. inland valleys, concord, livermore, santa rosa, upper 70s. those are your daytime highs. if we look in the bay, it's a little cooler. hayward goes to 71. upper 60s there. just the watch the progression, you'll have a pretty day on the fourth of july. it'll stay gray at the beach all day. then those clouds march back in as we get into the early afternoon. that's what it should look like by the time we get to 8:00, 9:00. we will have to watch this. there likely will be shows impacted in terms of firework shows and your ability to see them, especially the closer you are to the water. inland, you should be okay for the official shows. interesting setup monday, too. the reason we'll be so cool, you'll see it here. watch the spin-off of clouds. early july, kind of nice. that's the reason why the temperatures are staying so cool. that'll help deepen

a similar trend as we head into the tri valley. inland areas warming up into the 80s. but we cool back down to average. along the coast thanks to those strong winds giving us the sea breeze and temperatures just around 67 degrees in san francisco. the next seven days this forecast will be completely different. like i said, we're warming up a lot as high pressure builds its way in. temperatures along the coast are still ranging in the upper 60s, lower 70s. where we see it the most is our inland areas where daytime highs by sunday and even into monday are warming up into the upper 90s. so a huge contrast right there, but nonetheless nothing too extreme. we're still not dealing with triple digits. this is july. look at how short-lived it is. 90s could turn into 80s by wednesday. we warm up this weekend. if you have any outdoor plans, i say do it. full send it. i said that two weeks ago and i felt so insecure, but i'm keeping it. >> you could be in the middle of your week and she's like, the weekend. we got the weekend. and now it's in check. it is a full send. >> yeah, it

for the tri-valley, upper 80 around concord and a few spots above 90 degrees as you go farther inland. upper 60s in san francisco. low 70s for oakland in the east bay. low to mid 80 for the inland parts until you go farther inland. low nays for windsor and farther north in mendocino county and lake county, the temperatures likely to reach farther into the 90s. that's not enough to boost the heat risk. the threat of overexerting yourself if you're not staying hydrated and taking proper precautions. that is in the low category tomorrow. it climbs up for saturday. just a mini heat wave. a warm spell really, more than a heat wave. the temperatures won't go up that much around the bay. mid 70s in oakland. upper 80 for san jose but then back down to normal temperatures by sunday and monday. the hottest spots will be inland in the north bay and the east bay. even there, 90s. if we're staying away from triple digits, it's not a full on heat wave and back to normal temperatures for much of next week. >>> straight ahead in sports, nine innings? not enough to settle it for the giants and brewers
