be early to have a tropical system this early in the system.here is moisture coming in off the atlantic and coming inland. that's aided by circulation around high pressure over new england. both of these systems working together to give us this easterly flow and keeping it cool. there's quite a bit of sun in the mountains, throughout the midwest, big heat is developing. for us, the rest of the afternoon it will stay mostly cloudy. perhaps a little sun breaking out. there's a chance of a passing shower. i don't anticipate the heavy downpours like we've had over the weekend. the winds continue out of the east and northeast at 5 to 10. sunset is at 8:21. it will be partly to mostly cloudy at times overnight tonight. by dawn tomorrow we should have our temperatures still generally in the 60s. it's going to be a rather mild evening and rather muggy as well. then during the day on tuesday, we will have a little sunshine breaking out and we ought to be warming up to around 80 degrees. then on wednesday, really going to begin to see big heat building,

you talk about tropical environment or what you can get thunderstorms to do out in the tropics.s is a little cluster. what you see here. you see a thunderstorm popping up in western portions of kentucky and right around memphis. you get one storm here and one storm there. just creates other storms as they start to spread out. hot and humid down there. we're talking about 90s. in is our guy, the easterly flow. bringing that here to washington. still, most of the showers and the storms south associated with the upper level disturbance. but we're still looking at just a few light showers coming our way. they are dying out as they hit that northern part of the bay. but that's when they have a small chance of rain of the forecast here in washington. especially for heating those temperatures up to 80 into the lower 80s as we go near tuesday's forecast. here it is. take a look at our zone outlook. you might see a shower in the blue ridge and beyond. cumberland, cloudy skies. and they could hit an 82 down towards culpepper. washington and southern maryland, back out to the eastern shore

we have a storm in the atlantic that may become tropical over the next couple of days. as the height builds, some of the heat and humidity will be coming our way. it will fall a bit like summertime. if you will see the supply is -- skies clear out monday afternoon. the same scenario for thursday. feeling like sunshine and the afternoon and evening. friday, that front will come in and probably clear out some of the mcginnis from the atmosphere just-in-time for memorial day weekend. tomorrow, look for a cloudy star was on in the afternoon. temperatures reached the upper 70 paws around the bay as the clouds give way to the afternoon sun gen. the beach will be in the '60s at ocean city but almost 80 degrees around princess anne. expect a light wind coming out of the east tomorrow with waves 1 foot or less. close to 90 on wednesday and thursday with a chance for a storm. this committee will start to build up. and much more comfortable weekend shaping up. a the raven's hope for stronger >> the jackpot has an estimated annuity of $575,000. the numbers are 17-40-32-38-7- 20. be

we are approaching quickly hurricane season so we'll see if this becomes anything with the tropical development. right now that looks like a little long shot. in the meantime, as that churns offshore it continues to send the clouds our way. showers south of us and warm humid air sliding up the coast. our forecast model, again, keeping that storm off to the south. i don't see much threat for that to come in. then as we go into the day on wednesday, a boundary comes from the north, actually, may help push that storm south but could bring showers as a frontal boundary coming out of the north on wednesday. so wednesday a better chance of showers than tomorrow. 62 tonight. what showers we have will end. tomorrow 79, partly sunny. still a slight chance of a shower but i think less so tomorrow. and a little more sunshine in the mix early on tomorrow. then tomorrow night 60 with clearing but i don't think it holds up until the wednesday afternoon period because once we get past wednesday morning another boundary coming in could spark some showers wednesday afternoon. lasting into thursday, even friday.

storm system offshore, possibly could become a tropical storm later in the week not much of a chance but a slim one for that, as it continues to spin the clouds our way and bigtime showers and storms flaring up across the carolinas now. in the meantime, it's a lot of warm air surging in. you'll really notice that change as we go towards webs -- wednesday and thursday, temperatures could push up closer to 90 degrees. our forecast model holding that storm generally off to the south at this point in time. that could change but if that holds up decent sunshine around tomorrow. a few more clouds wednesday, the chance of showers wednesday, too. as a boundary rolls in from the north. and that storm looks like stays off to our south. we'll be kind of in the squeeze play there. overnight, 62, showers come to an end. what few showers that we have out there, mainly to the east of baltimore. tomorrow, up to 78, partly sunny skies. still be a chance of a shower but a slim one tomorrow. i think generally dry and again i think we'll see a little more sunshine breaking through tomorrow afternoon. to
