it is minus 11 at the tahoe valley airport and anywhere from minus 15 to minus 17 in truckee. while we are cold in the bay area, we will be look at the frosty temperatures lingering for another day into tomorrow morning before we see things change. so a look at live doppler 7 hd. things are clear around the bay. in fact, we are not going to be tracking any rain for the next several days. in fact, it looks like this dry spell is going to last into next weekend. so right now the north bay, the east bay, and the santa clara valley still look at the frosty temperatures until 8:00. and the frost advisory for the bay shores until 8:00, as well, with numbers in the 30s. it's how san francisco, 37 mountain view, 29 san jose with 27 in concord and fairfield. take a look at santa rosa. 23 degrees and 25 in napa. so it is just as cold along the central coast. 27 gilroy, 31 salinas and 33 monterey. compared to yesterday, yeah, it is colder with seven degrees colder, santa rosa and napa. but even in the south bay where we are below freezing, we are talking about 6 degrees cooler in san jos

but i forgot to mention truckee at ninenous 8 -- minus 8 this morning.hat gives you an idea how cold it is out there. looking dry and quiet this morning. we are looking at what we call a midwinter dry spell with the averages being pretty dry right on through not only the weekend but the upcoming work week. so with that we are looking at cold temperatures. 31 in concord right now. good morning, novato, 32 for you and 32 in santa rosa. 42 san francisco. 37 along the coast with mid-30s in san jose, and los gatos 35. compared to yet we are certainly colder in most spots, anywhere from two to nine degrees colder than we were friday morning. but the delta, a little bit of a wind out that way. that's why you are a little bit warmer this morning. but by sunday and monday morning, once again, we will see lows in the overnight in the lower 30s. even some 20s are expected tonight, into monday morning. your highlights then, a string of cold nights continue for your sunday and monday morning. sunny and cool, and that forecast will hold right on through next week. in

. >> this view from a caltrans traffic camera shows interstate 80 in truckee this afternoon. there are no chain restrictions on either 80 or highway 50 in the sierra. thieves are targeting apartment buildings in order to get to your mail and one building has been sit several times. sergio quinn tan in is live with the story. >> am ma, apparently culprits got into an apartment building in this neighbor twice last week. tonight, federal investigator has been assigned to the case, and residents and managers of the building are hoping that video surveillance of the break-in might help catch the robbers. from two different angle surveillance cameras got images of the crime in progress. two men worked together on the break-in. the mail boxes were pried open and the thieves made off with bags of mail, including some packages. some residents are worried that documents like w2s could have been dispean may be used to steal their identities. a spokesman for the landlord says they're having to deal to getting mail to residents after damage the mail boxes. >> haven't changed the locks on
