truckee is at 12. big changes tonight. that is when the winter storm kicks in.just point arena north. this system will slow down a little bit. once it arrives it will be very dynamic. we first get the front. pretty good jet stream coming into the back end of that. and there in lies the forecast for the possible thunderstorms. rainfall about a half an inch to an inch and a half. should cover it from top to bottom. sierra nevada there will be very good snowfall. over two feet. this is the best looking system they have had in a long, long time. if they can get the snow there and get enough dynamics and moisture there, we could get snow down to 3500 feet. again it will be tuesday morning. timing again there could be a few light showers to the north. but this is the system. as the a's play tonight and this model is right, they will be done by the time the rain arrives. it will be on north coast and sweep in over night. and then we get the cold, unstable air. i rarely say showers. i say rain because that is what everyone says at home but that would be more scattered s
