i just got off the phone with some folks some friend in truckee, 41 degrees, and raining. that is warm. so right now, here's the radar imagery, it's raining on 80. you get about 7500 feet, it's snowing, but it is raining right up to pass level, and that is just a mess for most people. the real story in the lake tahoe area, we had wind gusts of over 100 miles an hour in the slide mountain area, 120 miles an hour, 110 up at squaw. the winds were howling, snow levels will drop next tike you see me, i'll show you the ski report. it's going to talk about increasing, you know, decreasing the snow levels but it's a little late because the storm is basically moving to the east. so, the mountains are getting rain a little snow tonight, but that should be t i'll see you back here in a few minutes. >>> two passenger jets or jet loaded with passengers made emergency landings in chicago because of bird strikes. southwest airlines says a flight was taking off from midway back to las vegas when a bird flew into the engine. the plane with 170 people on board returned safely to midway. >>>
