that fire is burning along i-80 12 miles northeast of truckee. besides the westbound closure, the eastbound side is also closed at state route 267 for crews to get crew and equipment into the area. 650 acres have burned. cal fire is helping out with the water drops. chp says that the fire is now 10% contained. there's no estimate time of reopening the freeway. traffic is heavy in the area. chp crews are directing cars around the area as the fire reaches the road. they are trying to protect wildlife, like this deer, to stay safe. >>> we are also getting new information about the damage left behind by the wall fire burning near oroville. at least 41 homes have been destroyed since the fire started last friday. more than 4,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. but some have since been allowed to return home. that fire has burned nearly 6,000 acres. it is now 45% contained. >>> to washington now, where donald trump, jr., is releasing new details about his meeting with a russian lawyer last year. he calls the investigation into it nonsense. mola l

crews are worried about spot fires after a fire broke out yesterday near truckee. >>> now to friday's massive fire in oakland. as federal investigators continue to search for a cause in that fireworks the atf has released new footage of a possible serial arsonist wanted for targeting another building just a short drive away. now that surveillance video that you see here, it captured a man putting on a hood and gloves moments before an apartment complex was set on fire in emoryville in may. the suspect is also seen scaling the building scaffolding on san pablo avenue. that fire destroy the construction project which also burned before -- it actually burned a year ago last july. two dozen atf agents are now investigating friday's fire to see if that was arson. >>> new this morning, hospital workers at stanford have released a report showing patient infections are big problem. the report claims stanford's infection rate is the worst among seven bay-area teaching hospitals. abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson live in palo alto with those details. tiffany? >> reporter: yes, hi, reggie. the

near truckee, the fire continues to burn. chp has reopened the eastbound lanes of 80 and one of the westbound lanes. that fire has already burned 670 acres near the california- nevada state line. at one point, the flames spread up to the roads forcing wildlife to run to safety. as of now, the fire is only 5% contained. and firefighters are also working a brush fire that just broke out in mountain view on the border of sunnyvale. a viewer sent thus video of the flames burning right across the street from her home. another viewer captured the flames burning close to highway 237. no word yet on containment or how far it spread. and in butte county, some evacuation orders have been reduced to evacuation warnings as crews continue to battle the wall fire for the fifth day. the blaze has already destroyed 41 homes. today some were able to return to their neighborhoods to see what was left. >> we've lost memories of my four children. they grew up here. you know, family home, their whole childhood, their whole security as children. >
