the first one happened last night on the 101 on ramp in tully road in san jose. preliminary reports from chp indicate a big rig hit a pedestrian at around 11. 45 the on ramp and multiple lanes were shut down just after midnight and all lanes are now open this morning. the second one happened at around 02:30am, on 8.80, in fremont near the mission boulevard. off-ramp. and according to chp logs, a person got out of their car on the right hand shoulder to exchange information with the driver from a previous crash. then a truck hit the person before running off from the scene. a coroner was called out. sobering new data regarding san francisco's drug epidemic. we now know that the city has recorded nearly 270 accidental overdose deaths from just this year alone. kron four's amanda hari has our top story this morning. >> based on the first 4 months of the year, the city is on pace to set a new record for annual overdose deaths. but some health experts say there are ways to prevent that from happening. so bring preliminary data out of the san francisco medical examiner
