i'm really glad to hear director tumlin confirm that on august 2nd, we are increasing the service, the plan service increase will include some of the very critical north-south connection lines that have not been available and that is clearly a concern for a lot of families and a lot of residents on the west side and i just can't under core it enough the necessity for us to supplement and provide options for folks to get from north to south on the west side of town and i think the last comment i'll make is on the out reap, so i think some of the commenters that basically have highlighted that our meeting times are not convenient, that's true. it's true for a lot of public discourse around town. but i am pleased to recall that i know at least one of the town halls took place on the weekend and i would say as we go forward with engaging the public about building out the pilot, we continue to do outreach that cast a wide net making sure we cover variety of times and needs and of course language access and i think the fact that we made it clear multiple times whether in advertising or durin

that said, i do want to start by thanking director tumlin and miss kirchbaum for -- i think what there has been i think their on going efforts to be transparent, their abundant confidence, and a commitment to equity that i think is real and deeply self and has been equitable at least as long as i've been watching them. i mean, a lot of harsh things have been said. i think they're unfair and, you know, there can be policy disagreements about, you know, how fiscally prudent or constrainted a city department should be or whether we should be required to maintain lines have a -- constrained a city department should be or whether we should be required to maintain lines strictly from a community sense. but i think my perception is we're lucky to have director tumlin and miss kirchbaum, and i want to thank you for your work. i want to start with a question. were we at 100% of prepandemic service prepandemic? is. >> no, we weren't. we were understaffed across the board, and i think we had a really good plan that we were in the process of delivering for operator hiring, but no, we were not at 1
