they say their message is not necessarily for brock turner but for judge persky who sentenced brock turner to six months in jail. he faced several years and that's why this is such a huge deal because many people believe that was just a slap on the wrist that six-month sentence. now he is getting out early. he is going to be getting out just after serving three months. the sheriff spoke to us just a few moments ago just before 5:00 and she said that she didn't believe that that sentence was heavy enough and here's what she had to say. [ loud background noise ] >> i think we're well prepared for his release. [ inaudible ] >> reporter: so she again is pushing for the governor to sign the bill that would make prison sentence mandatory for anyone convicted of assaulting somebody who is unconscious or too intoxicated. she said brock turner has been receiving hate mail since he has been here at the jail. again, we're told that we're going to be given a warning when brock turner is supposed to walk out of the main jail here out of the front doors. we have not been given that warning. as you can s
