two main buckets here. one is kick start the diplomatic process. which is a very difficult one. which involves a lot of complexity. with the mince process and the norman detalks. the difficult task is see if there's a concrete sign of deescalation on the russian side. there are russian military exercises that are planned and announced in belarus. what's concerning to u.s. and western officials is the presence of new encampments of russian troops close to the ukraine border. so perhaps what they might try to see if there's going to be a concrete sign of pull back of the troops to places further away from the border, again it's very difficult to say. american officials do believe that there's about a sortd of a 70% capability of troops and material there. in belarus positioned close to the ukraine border. if russia and if russian president vladimir putin does decide and he's the person who will decide here, if they do want to make an incursion into ukraine or full scale invasion. certainly we'll be watching for any kind of concrete signs to see how the talks go today. again, the big question is going to be what kind of concrete steps can russian preside
