other subjects. i'm sorry to say there is an accepted narrative that is imposed by the media apples and people like say, gleam royal and me are challenging this practice at a press conference in berlin. well, german chancellor all of scholes said that his country plans to stop importing russian gas starting in december and will continue to support heave, basically germany like the rest of the you thinks they can just treat russia like a booty call for gas whenever it needs or wants to, and without consequence, but the optics of denouncing rushing gas while also begging moscow not to turn off the gas tap, are obviously problematic. so germany is apparently going to stick to importing russian liquefied natural gas for china, which will cost much more, rather than just be honest about its needs and best interests and those of its people. dozens of protesters burned gas and electricity bills in the center of naples on friday to protest against rising food and energy prices. the demonstrators mainly belong to the 7th of november and the unemployed people stamp the movement. one protester denounced that, quote, the distance between politics and the people has become evident. they gathered in front of the central post office and later marched towards the town hall, demonstrators declared that they don't intend to pay for the costs of the pen demik and re arming the hire usually each step of deficiencies around 20 percent less losses. we are making available more energy for everyone. we are actually capable of doing less costs for the total cost of ownership from our customers, and at the same time, help growth on, on, industry and overall country. because we're lowering their losses on, on degree energy shortages and power cuts in south africa have curtailed growth across economic landscape. for years mining has been the bedrock of south africa, dd p. but some investors say it's not all doom and gloom some enough that he really dog summary. somebody in the sea struggling off the money in the street. is it still grow you until now? now thought because of corona, the you for a so slowly go away. so i think a lot also, governments, we be how when there's a plan, rebuild to plan the reconstruction plan for south africa would have to include the rebuilding of the countries dilapidated railways, millions of dollars worth of public infrastructure has been vandalized and stolen. but for mining companies servicing of their own railway infrastructure, it's a non negotiable conditions. underground months have many, many kilometers a rail and a ground require maintenance due to corrosion of tricks and upkeep of the tricks. and this product allows the ro maintenance crews to come cut out sections, replace them with sections, or in cases where the cages have gone to ground, aren't able to accommodate long rail sections. they pre cut the rails done and drill them. and it allows that the operation to be completely repetitive, with perfect tolerances for, for the connections they impact of the global pandemic. and the economy decline that was already visible in the south african economy prior to coven 19, have all shown as what light on the effectiveness of the partnerships that south africa hayes, and more and more company from the developing world, continue to seek and find opportunities in the us economy and a sentiment here at electro mining africa conference is that sustainable solutions and partnerships in the energy and mining sector. it's exactly what countries like south africa need right now that i'm willing to attain yell, who ran against nicholas? how could he is the socialist party candidate in the final round? the 2007 presidential race and more recently served as current president, emanuel mack holes ambassador for arctic and antarctic polls is calling for peace and dialogue, saying that, quote, sanctions against russia bad. we assessed and badly anticipated are turning against us us, meaning the french people. and she's not the only voice emerging in france among the political class will be to mercy. every one knows that war propaganda has driven by fear that the 1st event mentioned was the bombing of a maternity hospital. when mister zalinski was doing the rounds of the european parliament, that was this incident that brought the peace process to a halt. he said he was unable to give the names of any of the victims in, but in the age of smartphones, we would have seen them say, quasi, it's grave to challenge the discourse imposed by the media media. i do it for many other subjects. i'm sorry to say there is an accepted narrative that is imposed by the media of those. and people like say, gleam royal and me are challenging this practice at a press conference in berlin. well, german chancellor all of scholes said that his country plans to stop importing russian gas starting in december and will continue to support heave, basically germany like the rest of the you thinks they can just treat russia like a booty call for gas whenever it needs or wants to, and without consequence, but the optics of denouncing rushing gas while also begging moscow not to turn off the gas tap, are obviously problematic. so germany is apparently going to stick to importing russian liquefied natural gas from china, which will cost much more, rather than just be honest about its needs and best interests. and those of its people. china's top deputy has paid an official visit to moscow where he said the joint opposition to the american policy of hedge amani persecution and power politics is now a key part of the russian and chinese strategic interaction. earlier, he also visited the eastern economic forum in russia's fart east, claiming that cooperation between beijing and moscow is stronger than ever stressing the importance of a multi polar world. junior, i will please note down to the leadership of president putin. the russian economy was not crossed by the sanctions of the united states and satellites. in a very short time, it stabilized and demonstrated stress resistance with the chinese. i believe that russia remains an international investment. cooperation partner putin will continues show comprehensive corporation in this phase of economy. trade, finance, science, and culture share one to multi polar world is an inescapable trend. you're reflecting the desires of the world community. a multi polar world is the only right way for humanity to develop a bond on. china has taken part in joint military drills and rushes far east. beijing said, did army navy and air forces including some 2000 troops more than 300 military vehicles, as well as aircraft and warships asian studies? professor benjamin chow says beijing is very keen to expand its partnership with moscow. lee is china's top legislator. he has been extremely vocal in slamming any rules about sanctions against china and any other countries in general. and there are good reasons for that. we are seeing that the majority of the, well, there's no side with the us this time intention of russia, about $100.00 countries, including china, india, and the brakes country and so on, or not, sanctioning russia even to china and russia not military alliance. they share a lot of common interests, especially in supporting the one china principal separately acquired the taiwan shaped balancing image, major power of japan and the states in default is as well as increasing concerns about the expansion of nato to the is as well as to the far, yes, china's trade with russia actually sword. china's crew oil imports from russia, sold 55 percent from a year earlier to rec, about 4 in may. the 3 things, saudi arabia, at the top supplier to china. the biggest african exhibition of mining equipment ended in south africa after 4 days of posting thousands of visitors. it was billed as the continent leading exhibition in the fields. a lecture of mining africa has a 50 year history, and the exhibition presents cutting edge technologies in mining, electrical and automation fields. attracting investors, business people from all over the world are t correspondent, corolla list that law, brought us these details from the event. for 50 years. electro mining africa has been a cornerstone exhibition for businesses and professionals in the mining electrical automation manufacturing, power, and transportation industries. from all over the continent, but following a to yeah, i 8 is due to the coven. 19 pandemic is my annual event is back with a bay. the vest wag group is a brazilian company expending into the bricks. countries with presence in china, india, and now south africa that countries decades long, chronic electricity challenges present an opportunity for new bricks, partners by getting our efficiency hire. usually each step of deficiencies are wrong, 20 percent less losses. we are making available more energy for everyone. we are actually capable of doing less costs for the total cost of ownership from our customers and at the same time help growth on, on, industry and overall country. because we're lowering the losses on the grid. energy shortages and power cuts in south africa have curtailed growth across economic landscape. for years, mining has been the bedrock of south africa's, d b p. but some investors say it's not all doom and gloom some enough that he really dog summary. some of those, he's still gathering up the money in the street. is it still grow you? this is total nonsense owens it, boy. i think we all ones high think to leave nato vehicle. that is my motivation. then i actually thought today we should see union. what would the we see instead? we spoke earlier with a mock humphrey jenna, an associate professor of finance and australia. he says that the west's oil price cap plan for russia was unlikely to work as 2 of the biggest players on the global block, india and china, and not on board with a g 7 countries, despite ongoing pressure for them to join this western ante. russia coalition, europe's going to have some significant issues coming into winter. so european gas prices in general terms of being increasing, but energy prices more generally have potentially skyrocketing in many countries. there are multiple different proposals to leave energy price concerns. they're not all necessarily going to actually achieve the purpose of relieving the concerns with facing over the a you definitely does have a problem on its hats. many of the european union countries. the isn't the consensus about even imposing a price cup, so hungry and austrian, so vakio a very much against a gas price cap and an oil price cap. while that a piece had slightly broader support is not entirely clean. how'd that would work? so the g 7 might want that china and india aren't on board, and it is even clear that would be effective. so that has been quite a bit of volatility. and in part this volatility is due to what's happened, the c b. it isn't really as volatile as one would initially feed, given the lack of belief that it would really be that effective. ah, right. shifting gears, not a pakistan with thousands of people have hit the streets and support of a former prime minister in ron con. he's a currently facing contempt of court charges. now, despite his statement that he would accept any decision of the court con, gave a very fiery speech calling on his fellow countrymen to rally behind him. oh, i'm announcing to all my party members in the country. get ready because there will be my final call, which will change the destiny of our country. i have seen all pakistan. these are ready for that final protest call. are you good, you are on walla? pakistan has been in a state of political type, illinois for months now. as the prime minister was removed from power through a vote of no confidence in parliament. iran con claims america was involved in that power of regime change. the thousands of pakistan has continued to support him, as evidenced by demonstrations across the country. one local correspondent brought us these details from cons. latest speech. i'm a primary study mom. i had just a message for bethany ann. good. i know this was the last of that and these up him up for a cross country and he's there. finally, i decided to mobilize masses had the gospel play 1 o'clock is fine. and to think that, why do they get rid of this law? a name is bob. 7 me any me dental x as in the gun b, b as a me, his performance indic armored wendy. god forbid, i said the odd price is a sunday, sunday is going all diaz mentioned presently the audio which says that bug bomb is following with, i guess the garbage bug is going right on track with this important government because he said you will be responsive when his focus on friends in fog sunday. why he's fun. is that because or a lot either. friday, august on she said these are 10 employees i, b, b. i love this with her wireless. all at once on hand. i can speak and we are medical recording. said his i was did i did open his own with you, so i find these agree with james did. that's why this guy that we didn't know before. we thought that the american block was in our favor. but after visiting russia, im ron, explain to us that russia is much better for us. first of all, russia is in our region, and secondly, present put this offer is good for us while the americans have given nothing to us in the last 50 years. what brought us on by him or on con, as brave and loyal to his country when he was in power, he was with us and when he was ousted, he never left the country. and i would add that friends to americans are traitors to this country. and he'll do, i need my next generation not to be slaves like i was, i am here for my children. i want live like a free man and not a slave. we spoke earlier to dr. hamid khan, a foreign affairs expert who says that despite being alex did offer a so called no confidence vote, american has enormous public support in pakistan and to this very day remains the country's most popular politician. dennis is ousted from the by a prime minister. how's? he's been having so much public support because his narrative of american conspiracy behind his dumpling, his government is very popular in the, in the message. and they believe that iran time was performing very well in the country. and he should have given the 5 year by lead been our student much earlier than that. and on the other hand, we have seen that a mastery that supporting him and it is a lot of pressure on the government that they should go for the reelection as soon as possible. the reason is, medic, denominator situation is very bad. inflation is at the highest in the history of practice on, on the other hand, the price high, the petroleum prices. so, so he believes that he, if he will empower this time when over to the geography, he will be able to change the constitution and make it strengthen more democratic and it will have very great impact that establishment will not be able to interfere anymore. all right, so one of the biggest stories of the week here on our to international queen elizabeth the seconds eldest son officially proclaimed king charles the 3rd 73 years. all these, the oldest post and ever to assume that the british throne he was officially proclaimed at the head of state during historic ceremonies really goes by centuries . a guns saluted the accession while a bond, james, as pilots played to national anthem. king charles held his 1st audience with the u . k. the new prime minister. he also made his 1st televised address on friday. now of course, all of this comes off the charles, his mother, queen elizabeth, the 2nd passed away on thursday. she was 96 years old. now that's condolence has been pouring from all around the world. news of the queen's deaths. some mixed emotions in the form of british territory of come a ruin. some local complaint of the late leader perhaps could have done more to help address the ongoing civil war in the whereas if you look at a crisis though, yesterday, you start to it's when she was queen. what harpoons do to please be seated? i mean that would just be mutually assured destruction where they will be know when it's just only losers. and the next one will be fought with sticks and then mit mr . does the link mister zelinski has threatened to go back to a new killer posture through production. they probably have the industrial capability or they did that, but they certainly have the know how, because they used to have nukes stored in the, in ukraine. so this kind of talk just accelerates and causes greater escalation of tensions, which is totally unnecessary. that's all we keep saying, mike, listen, we just keep seeing more escalations attentions with more rhetoric, more and more anti russia, anti this anti that? i mean it's well, it's hard to keep up with frankly let's, let's talk about pollutants announcement about a partial mobilization michael. 1.11 point one percent of the entire russian military on forces being activated here, 300000 soldiers. then we've got referendum the next in the next few days. why? why do you think putin has announced the partial mobilization? well, i think he just wants to be ready in case ukraine decides to do more offensive activities . he knows that us the supply and the critical intelligence and that, that and then it's creating the they just want to be ready in case the ukraine wants to go on more in a fax of posture than, than they have been and wants to protect the area of don batson and thompson, and i think that that's something that they, they want as well the people who are there. so it seems and i think that he just wants to be ready. i think the, i think though that weather is going to have a major play a major factor in this. and i think what the ukrainians are trying to do is speed up things to keep it, keep asking for more and more arms. but that can only go on for so long, and to be consistent with a counter offensive. ukraine has to have a cost flow, but i think russia is going to alter their, their approach as a consequence of the recent counter offensive. for michael, it was only a few weeks ago, the russian president vladimir putin said we're going to slow down. we're going to slow down the movement in ukraine to reduce civilian deaths and, and damage to a civilian infrastructure. that statement coming at a time when europe in later is complaining that they're running out of ammo. they're running out of weapons to send into your credit. i mean, god forbid, ever came down to it. it won't be long before europe has very little left to defend itself. is it a cutting ploy or what is it? i guess a maneuver on the military global chess board, when putin said we're going to slow it down to reduce civilian casualties. that he also perhaps think that this would help to further draw down european mo, supplies well, i think that's going to happen inevitably, unless you're peons and the united states go into more of a, of a defense military production posture within their, when the, each of the countries they're going to have to do something if they want to consistently and continuously supply these weapons to ukraine. but as far as what mr said, you want to secure what you have already acquired. and i think that that is absolutely necessary. i don't think it was the, i don't think yet that is the intention of moscow to, to take all of ukraine. i think the, i think as long as he can defuse the ability or limit the ability of ukraine to become a nato eligible member. i think that that he, that he will have accomplished what he sought to do because that was a threat. he has, he considered, and also pointed out to the west and to nato before the military operation actually began. michael is not going to go about 25 seconds for this one, but please, please follow me here. so get off saying that america is teetering on the brink of being a direct party to the conflict in ukraine. could it be at some point that russia goes off the decision making centers? 20 seconds might. well, it could, it could if, if this war expands in the united states, expands, it's already a world conflict, it's having a world consequences. and i think that if you neutralize that decision making areas, then that that will probably have to be done in order to neutralize this thing and, and try to get both sides to the negotiating table. i michael maneuver formerly of the u. s. office of the secretary of defense, we appreciate it. thanks for joining us. thank you. thanks for joining us as well. most doors available for you at auto dot com the meantime. we are back very soon. ah. when i was showing wrong, when i just don't hold any world that you have to fill out these days, because the advocate and engagement equals the trail. when so many find themselves worlds apart, we choose to look for common ground.

u. s. u k, canada, a bunch of european nations like poland, italy, and et cetera. and so they would have the same obligations in front of ukraine are as they do in front of any other nato member states. preventive measures like when the realms of the military finance. so it is really an all encompassing an effort. it is an all encompassing proposal that is very, very much global and in its magnitude, it could be very significant when it comes to both the fates of ukraine and well, the natal block, his house, zalinski, and his nato counterpart. how the? well, how they discussed and how they announced this, these proposals have ellison, these were, this is the key issue. there's great, great big 4th step thing as a possible. you've done a great job. you've done a lot and work together as a team. but this is just the 1st step. it is the 1st, but an essential step. well, again, they're saying it's an essential step. of course, keith, once this deal give, once this out of the proposals fate and drawn to something more concrete. because again, it is quite a lopsided key of gets everything, the american military industrial complex gets loads of money, a loads of orders under europe, world, europe has to provide everything kind of a kind of sounds like this is all going to be crossing one of our putin's red lines, you got to tell me here, what kind of reaction are we getting out of moscow to this? well, in moscow, in the kremlin now, they did not minced their words, they said that it was due a direct path to world war 3. this is a quote to, by russia's former president of course, the tree madrid of. and again, this goes, this brings nothing to the table when it comes to, you know, restoring peace in europe. if you like it, it does exactly the opposite. because if you rewind towards, you know, february january, december, when russia, when moscow was voicing its security concerns, it wanted exactly the opposite. this was the main reason that russia started. it's what it calls a special military operation because it did not want ukraine to potentially sometime become a nato member state. here's how this these proposals were described by the spokeswoman of the russian foreign ministry. marie has a heart of again, have a listen, please. either this will tied hands of the european union in such a way and put them under such savage, several dependence that they will never recover to their former economic growth and development. now that they in such a difficult situation, they have proposed such a terrible shackle. and to find in their blood, it will be a never ending horror. well, it does go for it does go very much against the russian, you know, goals of demilitarization and d nat, if occasion would cause the goals of the russian special operation in ukraine. so again, it does not bring peace any closer to we have this kind of further coagulation of ukraine or kia with it. so western professional partners here, we had a reaction out of moscow that was pretty firm. one might say, any reaction out of brussels yet? well, so far there's no indication that these proposals were drawn up in any shape or form together with brussels. it's as if they were held almost like held hostage. so this is what we're getting. this would keep is going to get. this is what the us is going to get and you are going to provide everything. so again, our time and time again, we've been hearing these statements coming out of brussels, are coming out of various european countries. they're saying ok, we are eager to provide money to loan money to ukraine, to provide weapons heavy military equipment as well, but only to a certain point. and the many nations have already stepped forward saying that the limit has been reached. if they were to send more weapons to ukraine than they would be taking them away from their own armed forces. so, but no can do. and almost after every say statement we, we've seen more and more arms pouring into ukraine, including from europe to, from the united states. of course, a lot of them, but from europe as well. it's as if they're being strong armed into providing more and more weapons. so that they potentially could, later are, will strike deals and, you know, purchase said weapons from the united states because their own safety and security is being compromised by all by this, you know, or by they still flow by the stream of military equipment that they are providing to ukraine, so i, europe, it doesn't seem that europe is excited about this thing. you know, at the same time, bigger though, you know, i've heard a numerous or concerns from various european politicians that they're kind of running extraordinarily oh, with their weapons stockpiles or they keep pumping into ukraine. and then it was a couple of weeks ago that moscow said that it would actually slow down it special military operation in ukraine to reduce civilian casualties. so if indeed, the russian side is slowing down and the western side is running out of weapons, you might wonder, the end of the day europe might find itself with very little to defend itself with at some point in the future. of course, nobody hope that would ever get to that point, but don, off, always appreciate it. thank you. we spoke with the most in the executive vice president of the eurasia center. now he says, the key of is telling european politicians how to act. i'm just made that statement that the criticism that is thrown at germany and other other member states that are, that may not be providing as much as ukraine would like. and i must say that this is essentially drawing down their own surprise supplies. and essentially d will writing nato members for a country that's not part of the, it's not part of nato. there's no defending democracy. it's not really a democracy in this country, so they've got political career too, so they have to watch out for themselves and they should be watching their, their people. unlike what mr. bareback to hear more about ukraine than the german people to see the amount of what happens, the amount of, of a flowing in some money flowing in the crane. and yet they talked about insults of the senior people. this is just me, it's humility. i would find it humility, humiliating if i was your your p and diplomats have those types of comments made. it said the ukraine is dictating the path. it's shocking to me. as i can only see that happening if they've got a big brother behind them supporting you know, who the big brothers are that are happy with the european. well, let's give you some the latest now from don bass. ukrainian artillery shelling as we understand now, is killed 4 civilians and a village, and just north of gorda. love car that's in the don't. yes, we are public. over the past 24 hours. it's off the local officials in the neighboring lu gans republic said at least 2 people died and a ukrainian strike on tuesday. what of caution? you may find the following images disturbing and show you the aftermath of the attack, which is the city of lifted chunk. official say the shelling came during a humanitarian aid delivery to locals and it was apparently american supplied hi maurice rockets that hid this area. meanwhile, the governor of russia's belgrade region has reported renewed ukrainian shutting of a village on the border. at least 2 people wounded locals are being evacuated, comes a day after a ukrainian refugee was killed and forwarded in a similar attack by ukrainian forces. now this all comes as hundreds of ukrainians have been fleeing to russia. it's actually that of following a recommendation by the acting head of ukraine's ne hardcopy region. the influx of refugees was triggered recently when keith's military forces took control or should i say, we took control of a number of towns that a fear ukrainian reprisals in those territory. so have been growing as we understand with threats actually being made against anyone who has been cooperating with russia. is what a one of the refugees told us. too much of the subs. 3 of them, the shell and started and they fired the administration and shops shops where there were a rushman products. they were looking for people with brushing passports and they tortured them. these for the national battalions. he, quentin army, seemed to be ok. but the battalions didn't carry was women were children, they didn't even speak ukrainian or russian. we thought it was very scary to state . so the chief of underlay and give the state of the union address that does raise a few eyebrows. she focused more on the ukraine conflict than other potentially more urgent issues within the block. that is, as ordinary europeans are struggling to make ends meet them. it's skyrocketing, energy prices, natural gas, costing. now. it's well over it's 2000, at least $2250.00 per cubic meter. as soon as russia to cross the border into ukraine, our response was united, determined, and immediate. and i think we can be proud of that. you are solid charity with ukraine will remain shaken. will details on this now? building further without you contribute? rachel moss and joining us lie from pires. get to see you, rachel. so wow. any reaction from a you politicians to underlay and speech? well, anyone tuning into you commission president ursula vander lans annual state of the european union's speech. this morning could be forgiven for thinking that ukraine was in the ear when, of course, it isn't because that's all she could talk about despite brussels own sanctions policies. amid the ukraine conflict being single handedly responsible for downloading cost of living hardships on european citizens, europeans wanted to hear web brussels plan to do for your opinions to ease their pain on everything from energy pricing to inflation. several members of european parliament were upset with what fonder lion had to say. it's a serious cookie pie laddie. you just have to speak to citizen used to businesses calling. i can promise you that none of them is concerned about the russian credit . but what they are concerned about is that they are having to deal with the damage caused by years of devastating policy. but i think i quite bore, ah, we have heard talk about general policies in it. but the objective must be to look after the interests of european citizens and respond to their concerns at all. but i have come here with the gas bill that people asked me to show you. we have a 2130 euros for people are worried about not being able to heat their homes this winter. certainly, chrissy thrilled more did so cuz all button wall energy security and mitigating high energy prices is our most pursing task. the situation we are facing is very difficult unipolar world with your opinions or anger that the time will soon come when you have to stand before a judge and say what you have done for the european dream or your salt york. there . the commission told us that these sanctions will bring russia to its knees. we'll just sell you promised us that the sanctions would herb russia, naughty ruffians, i am better, and the surprise to sa continue to skyrocket. and all this time russia has happened, lou profited from the energy market, vague it, moshe, right? it's almost as if you crate as a convenient excuse to avoid dealing with problems that have long plagued the you since well, before the ukraine conflict. listening to vander lane, you think that everything in europe was going pretty well, which it really isn't. brussels is also apparently committed to staying the course on its ukraine policies, which are proving to be nothing less than disastrous for the e. u. economy and its people. and as if to illustrate how oblivious years vonner line announced that you energy companies would have their profits kept. the commission has proposed introducing a profit ceiling of a $180.00 euros per megawatt hour for coal nuclear and renewable energy companies in the e u. so now instead of the russian or foreign energy price kept that some member states wanted, it's now going to be you companies that are going to be paying the rice for the e, use ukraine policies so much for the western free market. i guess the commission also proposes a reduction across the block of electricity consumption by 10 percent until march 31st of next year and an obligation for member states to reduce use by 5 percent during peak hours. the whole speech was like a mix tape of the ease, greatest hit, she talked about expanding the block to include moldova, georgia and ukraine. when there's hardly enough cash to go around already. she made a lot of noise about green and digital tr

u. s. u. k, in the western countries, denied the legitimacy of the referendum forcing bushes, ambassador to remind the west of its own history with break way regions. but in woods, the direct expression of citizens will, has long ceased to be an indicator of a democratic choice. recognition as such takes place only if approved in the west. in general, the western version of democracy has deteriorated into a dictate of a liberal minority over a conservative majority of the doubt. as critics of reference in the dumbass, laportia and curse on regions were at one time at the forefront of support for cosello's independence. no referendums were held in kosovo tow. only a declaration of independence adopted by the provisional self governing body in excess of its powers. but back then it was enough for the west to recognise castillo's independence. well, the un security council, the 15 member body that leads the united nations, convened the meeting today in the security council chamber. now, immediately russia spoke up at the beginning of the meeting, making clear that they objected to the fact that vladimir zalinski, the ukrainian president, was given a platform to speak via video link to the un security council meeting. they said clearly that this was simply turning the un security council chamber into a place to put on political shows to serve a geopolitical agenda. it did not fit with the rules of the un. russia made clear their objections. then we heard from rosemary decarlo, the under secretary, we heard from zalinski who then addresses the video link. and then when members of the security council spoke, it was very clear that there were differences among the major countries. now we heard from both russia and the united states, both permanent members of the security council here is the clear differences between the 2. we know the outcomes of these sham referenda were predetermine in moscow. they in no way represent a legitimate expression of the will of the ukrainian people. i'd like to say that the referendums were conducted transparently upholding old electro norms. more than 100 independent international observers from 40 countries observed the referendum. they gave their opinions to the media, but unfortunately, you won't have this in western media story that might be carried out with weapons provided by the united states. this is what anthony blanket said shortly before the un security council meeting. will the us still allow ukrainian troops to use us weaponry to defend against russians in those territories, no matter what the outcome of these referendums and this, these possible annexations ukraine has the absolute right to defend itself throughout its territory, including to take back the territory that has been illegally seized one way or another by russia. now, the nato chief also made clear that while nato countries are supplying weapons to the government that they do not consider nato to be part of the ongoing conflict. they consider this to be a fight between ukraine and russia as well. nato is supportive of ukraine. they are not directly involved. regardless, that was the context in which the un security council meeting took place. now, the un security council of task with making sure world peace continues and deescalate and conflicts. but it seems like, as russia pointed out, the un security council was just used as a platform for grant standing, just as a place to put on political shows to demonize russia when real danger to world peace and the possibility of this conflict escalating to much greater heights are hanging over our heads as a result of the response of the united states and its allies to the referendum. let's cross live now to john jordan political analysts. john, thanks for taking the time to join us today on our t. good to be here. no, now these referendums have concluded, what do you think next for these regions? well, sadly, this is all going to be decided on the battlefield. i do agree with the russian ambassador in one respect is that is that the un is a place for grandstanding that's kind of what it's been more than anything else for so long and so i have a good, some rushes turn in the hot seat. america's been in the huts itself a few times there, but sadly, this is going to be resolved militarily on the ground. this is going to be decided by arms and i fear where this can go. well, just to pick you up on, on the un while you mentioned debts, john, other, he did say that many of the most vocal western critics of these reference are from those who supported the independence of kosovo. ma'am, do you think these cases are so different? we've seen some of double standards here and un no, i mean that's a, that's the un is fraught with double standards. it's kind of always been that way. i don't know how you get that many countries together to agree on anything. everybody's pretty much pursuing their own agenda and then uses the un is the stage to be the good guy. so, but yeah, that is a great analogy in the sense that basically might makes, right? and whoever wins the argument gets to declare the legitimate outcome. and that was such as the case impossible to but unfortunately this is not what goes on at the un really isn't going to matter at the end of the day, be resolved voluntarily between ukraine and the forces of the russian federation. ready so just to get this to you, do see this as an escalation. if russia were to recognize these territories as part of its own territory. i mean, obviously some of the international community, i've described it many and i to describe the machines, i will not recognize the results. it's really hard to, to. so square the 6 square circle, isn't it john? i mean, it looks like he's going to be portraits a completion. yeah, that's the way it is. what it with ukraine has taken out a maximum list position and insisting that all of formerly was ukraine will be restored to ukrainian rule including crimea. that is clearly an obviously unacceptable to the russian federation, at the same time, the ukrainians are not going to accept any sort of negotiated settlement where some of the, the territory of either outside outside of the on boss is going to be seated to russia. so this is going to, i don't see a way out of this, and i think that this will be seen. it really isn't an escalation escalation so much as thinking a maximum negotiating position as i'd hoped to see it. but it is literally right now, there is no climb down or pass out of this for either side. no, especially because prisons. lensky also said that if these 30 is worth to secede for russia, and talks would be off the table. yeah, i mean, there's no diplomatic track right now. both sides are irretrievably dugan, for their own domestic political reasons. and ukraine feels that they can be successful in this. and there's no political appetite in ukraine right now for any sort of negotiation. if there is, it may be, you know, there is, there's of the ukrainians. would probably better swallow seating. some territory intern? yes. go guns. more so than apple reserve her son. but there's no appetite that right now at all. no, that the certainly isn't jona. i'm going to want one final question. now you have said that many citizens, the fines that helped organize these referendums, could face up to 5 years in jail and, and there were also reports of ukrainians. special forces also em, catherine collaborates, is all they call, collaborates is in the cock of region. those who cooperated with the russian forces . and from there you can certainly see, you know, why they might do that because it, from the ukraine point of view, it's treason to things for the right. you know, i don't think there's a, you know, i hate to see rights and wrongs why. why did this? because this is just such an unfortunate situation. situation of, to people that are in many ways and historically brothers going out in this way. but they're, the temperature certainly hot and there is an appetite for retribution in the ukraine right now. for anybody that's ating, any the rush of the forces in the russian federation. and it's, it's a sad as it can be. but that's how the ukranian see it. and i, and sadly it history tells us time and time again that might makes right, the winners are the ones to get to write history. and so we'll have to see who that is in miss and d. indeed we will. john is certainly a very complex situation. we could discuss it for hours and days to come by. i'm afraid we run out of time. don't go to political unless thank you very much for your time today, your insights a journalist and i to this jim that figure chambers says the people of don boss have wanted to become part of russia for a long time. one of the biggest misconceptions in the world, whether we're talking about crimea or now about done, but uh, but oh, sure. what is that? this is all, some kind of posturing, uprooting agenda to creep in an annex territory and take it over. and what we're dealing with is really quite the opposite, was a situation where people really bag of putin and brush it to get militarily involved for a long time. and only after diplomatic methods were exhausted. did that actually happen? i think it's very clear to everybody that despite this influx of american artillery, that has really done nothing but terrorized civilian in don about the consensus has always been anybody you spoke to? well, yes, we're done yet people's republic, but we want to join russia. everybody wants to join russia, this was just, this is known. anybody walking on the street to tell you this? ok. so the idea that this is some sort of like sinister plot and they're drinking, i mean it's laughable. totally loud. of course, as always, will keep you updated all the latest on the events in the dawn bus are public, and those are the regions and what the future holds for them. a on the water explosions that have caused leaks in the north stream pipeline system could be an active sabotage with us. according to the swedish prime minister, who commented on the damage to the pipelines which resulted in a very sharp dropping pressure the order. we have swedish intelligence. but we have also received information and our contacts with denmark. and based on this, concluded that this is probably a deliberate act. it is probably a matter of sabotage. or you can see now is video footage from the location of one of the leaks and you can see gas pouring into the baltic sea, the bubbling up on it from one of the 3 separate leaks on the north stream one and 2 pipelines. the authorities in germany, denmark and sweden have all begun investigations. the former polish defense minister pointed his finger to the us for those explosions while the same time, the polish prime minister has been russia for the leaks in the north stream pipeline. the company has called the situation unprecedented thing. the reason the pipeline system has developed problems remains unclear at this stage, but nothing has been rolled out. yes. and this is very concerning news. it's true that we're talking about some kind of damage to the pipeline in denmark, economic zone. although the exact nature of the damage is yet to be determined, the pressure in the pipeline has significantly drops. this is an unprecedented situation and it must be immediately investigated. last year and also want to counter for 35 percent of russian gas exports to europe. the pipeline supplies were then later flushed unsuspended completely. and the you accused russia of energy blackmail. but gus from science and maintenance reasons. now with the latest incident is on clear when the pipeline will once again be operational. earlier, my colleague nicki are in discuss the matter with our chief marine corps river. we have sweden saying that it has 2 leagues, has discovered leaks, and it's in the nordstrom one pipeline penmark discovered that leaks on the nordstrom to pipeline. and this of course, comes after germany was also reporting a drop of pressure in both pipelines. now this situation is extremely rare, it doesn't just happen like that. that's why everyone is saying, how could this have happened? and was there anyone involved? was this, perhaps an act of sabotage? but we'll talk about that a little bit later. first, let's hear what the operator of north street has to say. damage to 3 sections of the nord stream pipeline system in only one day is unprecedented. it is currently impossible to know how long it will take to restore this infrastructure to operational condition. so a situation where this would be just coincidental is not really on the card. exactly. but right now what's also tricky is that there are conflicting reports as to how long it will take to fix the situation. some say months, others are same even years. and right now this is critical with winter approaching this energy crisis that we're seeing unfolding could become even worse if the pipelines are completely not operational. what are the possible scenarios? what could have happened here? some are saying that if this was a target to the tack like the german daily, for example, we're saying that everything speaks against the coincidence, none quotes in here, we cannot imagine a scenario that this is not a target to the time. but a targeted attack would involve, i read it and some of the reports would involve a submarine, someone literally go and stay under the water and cause in damage. this kind of damage because like i said, this is extremely rare for such a leak to happen. and here we're talking about 3 leaks already, so who stands to benefit from the class? we know that there is an energy crisis unfolds you. this is of course, a sensitive time in russia. we have the conflict on fold them with the crane. russia has already hold to the supplies to 20 percent from the north stream one pipeline north soon too is idle right now at the moment and we have the sanctions. and we also had a technical difficulty which affected the north stream one pipeline. so supplies have been halted completely, so the european union has had to look for alternative solutions. they're looking for other suppliers. among them we have the united states. energy prices are skyrocketing, of course, some reports are saying that they haven't seen energy prices like that in 25 years . and here's an interesting point. let's hear what the u. s. president had to say at one point about the notes from to pipeline. if russian rage, that means tanks or troops crossing the border of ukraine again, then there will be we, there will be no longer a nor stream to we will bring in. and how will you do that exactly. since the project and control of the project is within germany's control, i promise you will be will do. despite rising gas prices, the german energy network regulator chief, has claimed that the you is no longer dependent on north stream just supplies. he did admits, however, that the situation still remains tense. economist ag, amy says that the situation is far worse, and politicians are prepared to admit. this is more something that makes suspicion that gives us thoughts for conspiracy theories and song. and then of course the americans are, we need from this, the brakes we need from this the, the politics already, of course says yes, no problem. everything is fine. but if we get interruptions, this will have a much,

well, so far there's no indication that these proposals were drawn up or in any shape or form together with brussels. it's as if they were held almost like a held hostage. so this is what we're getting, this would key of is going to get, this is what the us is going to and you are going to provide everything. so again, time and time again, we've been hearing these statements coming out of brussels coming out to various european countries. they're saying, okay, we are eager to provide money to loan money to ukraine, to provide weapons heavy military equipment as well. but only to a certain point, and many nations have already stepped forward saying that the limit has been reached if they were to send more weapons to ukraine than they would be taking them away from their own forces. so, but no can do. and almost after every such statement we, we've seen more and more alms pouring into ukraine, including from europe to, from the united states, of course, a lot of them, but from europe as well, it's as if they're being strong armed into providing more and more weapons. so that they potentially could, later, will strike deals and, you know, purchase said weapons from the united states because their own safety and security is being compromised by all by this, you know, by, they still flow by the stream of military equipment that they are providing to ukraine, so europe, it doesn't seem that europe is excited about this thing. and while huge amounts of advanced western arms happening to hand it over to ukraine, kia fer, it is still not enough. and even cold out germany, in particular, ukraine's top diplomat says he's not happy of a berlin's refusal to send its modern battle tanks and armored personnel carriers, insisting that his country needs them right now. disappointing signals from germany while ukraine needs leopards and martyrs now to liberate people and save them from genocide. not a single rational argument, and why these weapons can not be supplied only abstract fears and excuses. now the key of the mining advanced leopard 2 times, which cost about $10000000.00 euros each, as well as the mazda infantry fighting vehicles to replace hardware recently destroyed in the conflict. up to this point, western countries have been supplying mostly outdated arm and vehicles. but this is not the 1st time the key of officials have taken a swipe at berlin for not doing enough. although germany's defense minister has said its military aid has reached the limit. we have handed over an unbelievable amount from the reserves of the boon to the fair. but i say at this point quite clearly that we have reached the limit we spoke to about. and also at earlier in the program, he's our human rights lawyer and socio ologist. now martin said that is not really in europe, best interest to continue investing in the weaponry and aid going into ukraine. i think he's derived from the limit and then from a point of view of humanism that everyone who wants peace negotiations have to be brought forward and no more exports or weapons through the ukraine. we have the peace movement in germany. the majority of the peace movement and also human is we would like to that the german government anyway, it stops any support with weapons because we don't want to endanger europe in a 3rd world war. it's the u. s. interest one, the ukraine to fight on and tied on. and it's not the european interest. i think there has to be a turn around, but the german government, now they say they don't want to explore more anymore. lessons are not real part and mother things, but there's a lot of pressure on the mainstream. and even in the left that there should be more export. and that's the ukrainian government and should be supported even though that knowledge that they are supported by pressures and that they are not really democratic. all right, turning out the latest from dawn, bass and ukrainian artillery. shelling has portly killed 4 civilians in a village north of gord, alaska. that is in the next republic, and it happened over the past 24 hours. that's after local officials in the neighboring lu ganske republic said at least 2 people died in the ukrainian strike on tuesday. i should offer a word of caution. the following images are disturbing. we'll show you the aftermath of the attack, which at
