this is right by the u.p.s. building on southbound 101 by the three and four lanes. i don't know if you can tell, but there's some cracks there. caltrans has done an inspection. they need to get another guardrail out here. they're waiting for that to arrive. when that does arrive, they'll be able to reopen the number three and four lanes. problem is that they don't have an e.t.a. on that. southbound 101 will still be shut down on three and four. and one and two lanes from transition will be open in about 15 minutes. it was around 5:00 this morning that chp says two vehicles got into an accident initially. then you have this double trailer big rig come along. it jackknifes, they believe, in trying to avoid this accident. that cab of that truck caught fire. the driver was able to get himself out, but it was a good samaritan, we're learning, a woman who actually dragged him to safety. that driver's condition has been upgraded, we heard, from major injuries. they now believe his injuries are minor. a woman passenger or driver in one of the other vehicles was taken to the
