u.s.-china business council. i've recently relocated from beijing so i don't know many of you that please feel free to come up afterwards and introduce yourself. i've interacted with many of your colleagues in china over the last several years. so before we get into the survey findings i did want to walk you through some of the respondent profiles of this year's survey. the survey was conducted for three weeks in june. when 100 companies respond to the survey which as great mentioned is around half of our membership. in terms of respondent profiles, the majority have operated in the china market for many years. 57% are manufacturers, 47% services, and 16% in primary industries. around 95% of respondents are in china for china. that's important because if you're operating in the china market or manufactured in the china market, then the tariffs and the bilateral relationship will impact you in a very different way. that being said, read a quarter -- about a quarter of our companies are leveraging china sport platfo
