how u.s. navy seals lead and win. last week i spoke to them about the book and asked how middle managers could follow in the footsteps of the lead members of the navy. >> whether you in the military and leading a team in combat or in a business world leading a team to accomplish your mission and business leadership principles are the same. you have to take a bunch of individuals who have their individual viewpoints and you've got to take those people and get them to accomplish a mission and a most efficient and effective manner. >> what kind of things are appliable to what happened in combat to what happens in a board room? >> i think one of the things they have to do is a principle we call simple. it's been around for a long time. we talk about simple. people over complicate things. i think that is human nature. and we see that in the seal teams where folks that the less experienced combat leaders will put together a plan that is just too complex. the folks there don't fully understand how it works together. when thin
