u.s. government report team by abc news. the mission to get all 12 boys and our soccer coach out of the cave could begin any hour now. each boy will go on what's called the buddy dive. >> we can guarantee someone will have their hands on those boys every step of the way coming out of the kaifs. >> reporter: over past several days, divers had been teaching the boys how to dive. some are learning the basics of swimming for the first time. >> we tried to do the best plan we can bring them out. and the least -- maybe we try. >> reporter: authorities have drilled over 100 holes into the mountain. both to find an alternate rout out for the boys and to treat an outflow of water in that three-mile long cave. we're hearing more from the boys trapped inside. in letters to their patterns the boys asked for fried chicken and barbecue pork. others asked they not get too much home work when they get out. another boy wrote, i'm koeld but it's fine. don't forgot my birthday. the kids' coach writing, i promise to take care of the kids. thank you for your kind support. i would like to say, i'm really so sorry to you all. maggy rahul,
