setting aside $5 million to help uc's estimated 1,000 undocumented students.lso on the agenda, tackling the diversity issue the university is often criticized for. >> i know that you've said that you really want to bring more smart low-income students into the university system. what is your plan for doing that? >> well, one is to make sure that students from low or lower middle income families know the financial aid resources at the university. >> that's a tough thing for a lot of parents that are sometimes, you know, not from this country. i know i went through that with my parents. i had to do my own financial aid because they couldn't figure out how to do it. >> absolutely. getting that information early a lot of students are self-selecting out before applying thinking it's unaffordable to go to the university. the plain matter of the fact is if your family makes less than $80,000, you don't pay any tuition. >> another key issue for napolitano restoring the university's cachet especially with californians. >> i want to have a larger conversation with the p

they are to ensure graduation rates and that all our graduate students are college ready and uc and csu requirements to go to a university. most of the students who have fallen behind on classes are retaking courses to graduate on time. there is various programs provided through various instructional strategies online and night classes. we offer classes saturday and summer months and critical courses required for graduation. through peef and through the wisdom of the board of education, the office of extended learning and support was developed. the mission is to urge best practice to maximize results and credit portfolio credit recovery whose options and rigor and tan giblity and micro funding for local school site design and program. this is all along to the rti model with an academic focus on primarily tier 2 and now tier 3. this puts into perspective the intent with the division of curricular instruction rti model. this is the summer school that the fund that the supervisors provided. in 2013 we had four sites. wallenberg high school, balboa and burton. we had 2290 students and of wh

the uc davis, uc davis is establishing a police accountability board in light of the incident that occurred on or in 2011, november of 2011 with occupy protestors where they were pepper sprayed and it is the first of its kind on a campus where there will be representatives from the faculty and also from the student body, to invest gate complaints civilian complaints, of misconduct against a university police, and the attorney is vargus and sam and as well as deputy director eric and i, it has been about three hours, describing to the chief compliance officer at uc davis. how we do things at the office of citizen complaints and i commend the chancler at uc davis for implementing this in light of what occurred, and to bring a sense of police accountability to the students and the faculty at that campus. and the pepper spraying that took place at uc davis resulted in over a 1 million dollar settlement to the 30 or so, demonstraters who were pepper sprayed. >> next week you will hear a lot from me and i will be delivering the occ report as well as the comprehensive statistical report for februa
