at uc berkeley, abc 7 news. >>> moving on.e have some really amazing video to share with you tonight. you are looking at a horse being air-lifted from a cap i don't know in the cleveland national forest in southern california. 4 horses fell off a trail this morning one died. now this horse was tranquillize before being harnesses and very calm when it finally landed. you know it there's wonder what was going on. forest service spokesman says the horse were his part of a 4 day ride from san juan, capistrano to the carona area. animal rescue dreams still investigating exactly how and why the horses fell off the trail. >>> and now to the water. california gray whale that got tangled in a fishing lane off the southern california coast has resurfaced near the bay area and crab fishermen may have come to its rescue. the crew of the many cape man was looking for dungeness crab near bodega bay they saw 3 large buoy heading toward them. float dragged by june that's the whale we followed back on april 17 as rescuers tried to detangle it

abc news new york. >> about a dozen protestors at uc berkeley cited and released after they occupied the admission office. students took over the office at the hall this afternoon. they want the uc system to double the number of minorities students. demonstrators consist of high school and transfer students who say they were denied admission to uc. >>> bay area group calling itself occupy the farm meantime now has until tomorrow morning to pack up and leave university owned land or risk arrest. it's the latest ultimatum by uc berkeley in an effort to regain control of property on san pablo avenue and marin street in albany. protestors have been camping out using uc agriculture research tract as urban farm for several week. they offer 2 seats in community meeting but only if they leave. >> are you going to leave by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. >> no we are not going to loaf by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow mornin morning. that's not currently the plan. kind of absurd. like 2 seat at the table for for closed meet that go doesn't involve everyone. >>reporter: uc says it will also drop all pending criminal charges if

a deacon told abc 7 news he hopes video will help identify the vandals. >> uc berkeley officials hoping an encampment set up on university-owned plot of land would have been taken down by now. but that hasn't happened. the demonstration continues on a piece of land known as the gill tract at san pablo and marin avenues. and that is where laura anthony is live for us this afternoon. >> occupiers are deciding what sort of response they're going to give tt university and tell me they hope to have that response by the end of the day. there is no sign this is going anywhere, any time soon. this is just another day for those occupying the track with little hints of any ultimatum from university of california. >> there is nothing thursday indicating to us there was anying that came through the news to us. >> last week members met to exchange views and both say reports of a saturday deadline for the encampment to be removed were overblown. >> we told them we hoped and expected to have a response by saturday night. we're disappointed we didn't get it. the door remains open for a peaceful resolut

abc 7 is live now at cal with a look at the findings. laura? >> this is now the third report to come out of the demonstrations both here at uc berkeley and at uc davis. at davis is where we saw a police officer pepper spray the faces of student demonstrators. here is the berkeley police protestors setting up tents on the steps. those incidents criticized for being too heavy handed. today's report reviewed policies at uc campuses state wide and made 50 recommendations among them. that is the billion campus media. they should be trained and used to negotiate before police are called in and that nonlethal force, including pepper spray should be used only in extreme circumstances. >> while it was the police use of force that is in many ways focus of the report, and certainly occasion this report, much of what we discussed having to avoid using police at all. >> among recommendations is that some sort of citation being instituted. a way to hold demonstrateor as ktable for inappropriate action was out sending them to jail or through the criminal court system this, is just a graph report there. is a three-week comment period. then, final reports are
