. >> at 5:05 uc san francisco is notifying thousands of people of a data breach. the alert comes after computers were stolen from a medical clinic. christie smith joins us live with the latest on this investigation g. morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. that's right. nearly 10,000 people are going to get these letters that their personal information may have been compromised because computers were stolen from the medicine center, this is off site from the main campus. but those computers that we're talking about do contain some personal information as well as health information. the center is on slope near sunset. it learned on january 13th that the theft had recently occurred. and they say that the university police were notified right away and an investigation revealed that some information included names, birth dates, medical record numbers, driver license numbers and 125 social security numbers. they stress there is no evidence that any one has tried to access or use this information. they say that the state attorney general and the department of public
