san francisco, emily turner, kpix 5. >>> matt haney says he was threatened after tweeting that the school's name should be changed. >>> new fallout from the violent protests at uc- berkeley. now there's a call for the chancellor to be suspended without pay. our elizabeth cook has more on that. liz. >> reporter: that push is coming from a republican assemblyman from huntington beach. he says chancellor nicholas dirks did not do enough to protect free speech at the event. the riot forced campus police to cancel a speech by ultraconservative writer milo yiannopoulos. you can see what it led to. destruction totaling about $100,000 on campus. masked rioters violent. the assemblyman wants dirks suspended saying dirks had a responsibility to protect free speech for all. he says, the riot on wednesday night was beneath the dignity of californians and was a direct result of the permissive attitude of the university's faculty and administration. assemblyman allen went on to say that chancellor dirks's personal animosity towards yiannopoulos directly led to all of the chaos. allen cited this comment from dirks before the event calling yiannopoulos a, quote, troll and prov
