. >> reporter: the maryland uconn game was well underway but some partying tailgaters were still in parking lot 1b when the fight broke out. we talked to one witness who said she was afraid to go on camera because she fears retribution from a police officer she describes as acting insanely and out of control. she says she was splashed by water as she was tailgating with a friend when the off-duty officer's car hit the arm of a man holding a bottle of water. the man either splashed the man's car or threw it. the officer got out of the car according to the witness acting in an unnecessarily belligerent way looking for trouble. a fight ensued between the officer, the man and one of the man's friends. at one point the officer took the arm of one of the men and tried to put it behind his back. the other man enter ceded. at that point the officer drew his gun drawing down on the men. our witness dove behind the car to get out of the way. she said the officer did identify himself as a police officer but refused the demands of the men that he prove if by oo prove it by showing a badge. the investig
