joining us now to talk more about the new market is gloria from udc.orning. >> good morning. >> what is so -- i guess the first question we ask is where can we find this farmer's market? ? >> this farmer's market is located at 4200 connecticut ash knew in washington, d.c., in front of the university of the district of columbia's campus. >> do you feel there's strong need to have a farmer's market there? >> yes, i do, and that is because we would like to connect more closely with the community in which we are located. >> how did this idea come about? >> this idea came about with my talking with our provost. she had a vision that it would be nice to have a farmer's market in frobltd of the university to bring the community together with the university. and so we got started on that with one of my units in cooperative extension. the consumers -- i'm sorry. the consumer e resources and economic development unit. and so they put together the cooperative of mid-atlantic growers and with that cooperative, we've garnered a few of the local farmers, and so now
