next speaker, please. >> susan solomon again, uesf. i first want to say thank you for bringing forth the proposition g m.o.u. we did some good work last week, and let us all hope for the best that the bill that's in the state senate passes on thursday. this will change the landscape, and we won't have to worry as much as we're worrying right now. in terms of the budget, just in general terms as we go through the year and expenditures are happening, it's important to keep our eye on the prize, the priorities that are set in the budget are laudatory around multitiered systems of support, around professional department, safe and secure schools, and performance gaps. we also should note that the majority of the funds that are expended should be expended at the school sites, and that's where we want to see that happen. we want to make sure that we are student centered, and that is one way to make sure of that. and then in compensation of our members, which has been increasing due to some hard and excellent negotiations, it helps students if

susan solomon, uesf. this is a topic i'm looking forward to have the public forum on because when we as a union are in negotiation with the district, one of the things that becomes a difficult point at the bargaining table is why the reserves are typically higher than the mandated reserve because what we often see, unfortunately, is a crisis such as the affordability crisis and the housing crisis, and it makes us wonder when we're at the bargaining table what the money is being held in reserve for when it seems like an emergency. it sounds like that -- this topic is in contemplation of seeing crises coming up, and so since we -- just feels like we just finished negotiations, and it feels like they're practically around the corner, i look forward to having a deep discussion about what additionally these means in terms of salaries, wages and benefits for employees of the district and members tof uesf. thank you. >> thank you. comments from the board or superintendent? seeing none, roll call vote, please. >>

i'm still susan solomon, uesf president, and i wanted to address the freedom foundation's california public records request to hand over the names of all employees of the school district. so the freedom foundation is a blatantly aggressively antiunion organization. you look at their website, there's no question. we just celebrated the fact that we are going to name a school after delores huerta who almost died fighting for union rights actually here in san francisco. we know that union voice and union power and often in conjunction with the school district gives us great benefits. it gave us proposition g that benefits this school district and our students. it gives safer working conditions and health benefits and salaries to workers around the country. please let us not make it easy for the freedom foundation to do what they want to do. it's blatantly political -- even though it's my understanding that the district can't disregard -- can't take into consideration an organization or individual's reason for asking for information, i ask you, where does that stop? so can a candidate fo
