there is also the range fire burning in mendocino county north of ukiah.exploded overnight and is now at 3500 acres. two firefighters have been injured battling the fires and more than 400 homes evacuated and hundreds more are under evacuation advisories. mandatory evacuations, the 8000 block of river word -- river road south to the ridge above highway 175. there are evacuation advisories for the area blue lakes, bachelor value -- valley and parts of north scotts valley very dangerous conditions out here. many firefighters are trying to get this under control. >>> at least 500 structures have been destroyed by the fire and the police chief, one of the many people who lost her home. the chief telling the la times that while his home was burning on thursday night he was helping neighbors get out of their home safely. he says he feels like he that he and his family were able to get out and get their valuables as well. police officers -- to other police officers lost their home too. >> the haven humane society in shasta county posted a video on its facebook pa

this is right near ukiah. lightning strikes just popped up. i saw about 3 of in cloverdale still pouring in that location. so that's right on 128 it looks like 101 as well right where they meet so that means north of healdsburg if you are going that direction it should be wet because this cell has been hovering over there for the past hour at least. and then this just showed up south of yountville near fairfield, napa area so something to keep in mind. you may see a lot of that throughout the morning through the north bay a lot of this is starting to get a little more active. we are waiting for the sun to come up as temperatures start to get a little colder. we may see a little bit more unstable air happening this morning. so it's basically a lot of these pop-up showers very hard to pinpoint exactly where they will occur through downtown san francisco. you saw that just lighter green showing up. so that's just an area where you may see some rain showers but it won't be as intense as what the north bay is dealing with. so the north bay higher e

two wildfires, the river fire and ranch fire near ukiah started as separate wildfires yesterday.y combined to become the mendocino complex fires. 14,000 acres are burned altogether. new evacuation orders were issued today. this evening they've quickly expanded with more neighborhoods in both counties being ordered or advised to evacuate. the sutter lakeside hospital is in the evacuation zone and has been evacuated. patients there transported to other nearby hospitals. this map gives us an idea of where the 34e7bd seino complex fires are burning. cal fire reports the fires are just 5% contained with resources arriving throughout the state and the bay area to help out. the red cross just announced a new shelter opened up about five minutes ago at twin pine casino. >>> and look at this video taken from lakeport, a community that's right now under an evacuation advisory. it shows the enormity of the fire and what firefighters are up against. we have updated evacuation information on our website at abc7news.com. >>> meteorologist drew tuma is tracking the conditions firefighters are f
