looking at ukiah and also some of the upper this is indicating snow. so we are already seeing some snow dropping in parts of northern mendocino county and then also moving over toward lake county asel dumps snow farp but we're also going to see some rain up around healdsburg, over toward gratton and moving into santa rosa. is it does start out wide and then heavier but we're also watching the burn scar area in parts of the northern sonoma county area where we had the kincade fire. right now temperatures are still very chilly. this is a big drop. we're only now at 46 degrees in santa rosa. oakland is at 53. and 53 in san jose. we won't warm up much more from here. so as we check out the north bay, we can see a little bit closer where the temperatures are in the mid-30s and in ukiah and some of the spots to 17 deg colder in the north bay. and much of the bay area is t day. with a looktow t you have the na app you could also get a look at the radar and track well. we're going to see the rain moving into san francisco and oakland and areas to the north by

over northern california i am picking up on rain reports all the way down to ukiah, california. at the moment it is just moistening up. we can see a mix of rain and snow out there. this is a full storm in the levels are expecting to drop down to 2000 feet with advisories over areas of lake county. to the north bay, not many spots reporting the rain hitting the ground just yet but we are seeing the moisture in place and it will just take a little time before we finally see it get to the ground. i do expect it to be widespread. once it begins to move through it will move quickly. the wind is still generally light and that will also change as we get into the afternoon. we are looking at wind advisory for the coast as well as our hills and for the san francisco area. a flash flood watch for later today also including the burn areas over the kincaid fire area and areas downstream. as we get into wednesday are snow levels will continue to fall and will have scattered showers in the forecast. getting into the holiday we may start out with a few scattered showers but it looks like the a

ukiah and clearlake only in the 40s this morning. san jose topping out at 54 this afternoon. san francisco 51, but i want to show you what we have in store. right now we still have storm ranger up and scanning, working hard, our mobile doppler radar, the only ones that have it in the bay area and our key component to tracking that storm this weekend. there is that instability that i mentioned just off the coast, and this is what we're talking about in terms of the time of timing. we have an atmospheric river event expected to make its arrival early saturday morning, with a little bit of rain, light morning rain and then as we head in through the afternoon, we're talking heavy downpours with the heavy pockets of rain, also gusty, windy conditions especially for the mountain areas, 30 to 45-mile-per-hour winds, bringing a concern saturday evening into early monday morning for the potential of localized flooding, especially in the mountain area. milder temperatures, but the rain continues and as i mentioned, that flash flood watch is going to be in effect starting at 1:00 p.m. t

you'll notice towards concord, santa rosa, ukiah, 70s. 60s san francisco and oakland.icated pattern moving forward briefly some wind to watch on monday and then the rain and a real taste of winter comes our way towards midweek. briefly for the north bay now, this is monday, you'll see a bit of a ramp-up in the north winds. it's not going to last nearly as long as the other dry wind events we've seen. good news because as we get into tuesday, the clouds are filling in. by tuesday evening we begin to see rain spreading back across the bay area into wednesday. this will be the most rain we've seen since mid-may. the average for the bay area a half inch or more. for the sierra we're talking two to three feet of snow. winter storm watch already in effect in the sierra. don't be surprised, higher peaks around the bay area from the north bay to mount hamilton. saturday looks like we'll catch a bit of a break. but notice what comes sunday, possibly even more rain. so after being absent for six months, two chances of seeing rain after dry conditions. notice the seven-day change

and the north bay reaching up to 69 in ukiah.day vy cold air that we've seen across the rest of the country. it's starting to loosen its grip. it's not as cold as it was a couple of days ago, but still feeling some pretty chco ag as atlanta. and we're seeing some low 40s there. as weapon bring it back home, we've seen a lot more clouds moving in today. and that's behind the cold front that moved through late yesterday evening. well, now we are going to still see this weather sticking with us for today and tomorrow, but some changes ahead. going into the weekend, we'll start to see our winds shifting, more of a northerly wind picking up, and it's going to help us warm up as that high pressure bil build. then going into next week, that quickly moves away, and there'll be an area of low pressure, a storm system that can slide down the coast and also bring a chance of rain for the sierra and parts of southern california, but it looks like the bay area just kind of misses out on that rain, while we will see a drop in our temperatures.

for the north bay, we're going to see highs up to 83 degrees in ukiah, while napa will see a high of 78 degrees there. also the low humidity will be a factor in tracking the fire danger for today. we don't have a red flag warning in effect but we are still going to see some very dry conditions as our humidity levels drop down to the 20% range. it will come up just gradually for the overnight hours, not a whole lot here, as we normally start to see some good recovery with humidity levels closer to what we see in san francisco, where we are not going to see that overnight, and the winds for most of us won't be a noticeable difference today, but it's the hills where we'll be watching out for those gusty winds today. normally we're getting into one of the wettest times of the year, but we know we haven't had a drop of rain so far, and there is unfortunately no rain in the forecast, that one chance i was hoping for, for friday, has dried up, as we are expecting just some cooler temperatures to head in, in time for the weekend. mike, as promised you have a look at the bay bridge toll plaza

and for the north bay, 78 in napa and 75 santa rosa and 80 in ukiah.no problems as we head through tomorrow's forecast. looking all good here. and next change i see coming really isn't going to get here until we hit next week's forecast. the area of high pressure that brought us this milder weather will start us to glide off toward the east and that is important because it makes way for a cooler air flow to start to move in next thursday the 14th. so what about rainfall chances? we think this could start that pattern change to open up the storm door a little bit. we'll have some rainfall well out in the pacific by november the 15th. so this could still bring us rain chances from november the 20th through december the 5th. i've upped the possibility to about a 60% chance right now. so it is looking better and better to get some showers in here by the end of the month. extended forecast in san francisco. upper 60s right through veterans day weekend and you'll see for the inland valley, no issues on saturday, sunday and also on monday. we're looking at 70

warmest is ukiah and point reyes 64. the extended forecast goes like this. we keep the clouds and possibly some morning drizzle into friday morning. then eventually we'll try to get some sunshine in here for the weekend. but it will warm back up to 67 degrees. and dry over the next seven days. inland valleys, i have you with this cooler trend for the next two days. right through friday, possibly some drizzle there for friday morning as well. this weekend, we will warm back up to 76 and dry over the next seven days. i've been updating you on the rain chances. and the thing about next week, it looks like we'll be in between two different systems. so i wanted to show you this. we'll see a storm develop to the north, one to the south. right now that rainfall is going to miss us. no big rain chances. but still holding on to the possibility here for later on this month into early december. so that's the way we see it right now. we could see the systems move either way. so we'll continue to monitor that as we head through the next couple of days. >> something to lo

it's going to be the warmest here right up toward ukiah at 80 degrees.hen where that ocean breeze is filtering in we'll have 72 in mill valley. on the surface looks pretty good for tomorrow. but i do want you to be on alert for the air quality. so we still have some smoke filtering down from the ranch fire near red bluff. it doesn't look super thick but moderate air quality from the north bay to the south bay. if you have respiratory problems you might need to limit your outdoor exposure. what we need to clear out this air quality is a change in the weather pattern. we've just been kind of stuck with the same thing. but i think by next thursday we'll start to see things beginning to change. the number one thing we need is high pressure to start to move on out. looks like by next thursday that will kick off toward the east. that's important because it makes room for a cooler flow to set up that eventually could open up the storm door. so again, by next thursday we'll see this pattern change beginning. so what about rainfall chances? the way it looks now b

warmest place tomorrow warner creek concord and ukiah could be close to 80 degrees. of the reasons why the temperatures are coming up even though we have fog set up across the bay right now, there's a little taste of some off-shore breezes picking up and we're seeing the wind most significantly tonight above 4,000 feet up atop mount saint helena. however elevations between 1 to 2,000 feet, wind speeds in the yellow from about now through about 7:00 a.m. tomorrow in the 15 to 30 mile per hour age. the winds will be out of the north which is the reason why the hilltops will be seeing those dry conditions overnight. but notice how the numbers are much higher with a lot less wind down around santa rosa and the valley. so high pressure has been centered in a way that we haven't really seen strong, gusty offshore winds. it's been anchored right on top of california. that's the case. then by thursday and friday the weekend's enough to get more of an on-shore push of cooler air. no rain in the forecast there. but something we are going to have to watch late next weekend as t
