you can see the rain moving up around eureka right now, and by the time it makes it to ukiah, it will be at 8:00 to 9:00, moving into santa rosa and napa with brief, heavy downpours. then it moves to san francisco, as well as the east bay. we can see the quick moving showers moving to san jose around midnight, moving out by 2:00 a.m. as we are looking at a small amount of rain. we're dealing with mudslides and trees that are very unstable, so any amount of rain could cause problems. we'll have flooding as a result of not rain, but king tides over the next few days. some of the low-lying coastal areas could see the king tide starting tomorrow and through the next five days. as far as our weather, things will be drying out. we'll head into an extended period of dry weather from thursday all the way through at least the middle of next week, as we can see those scattered showers moving through tonight and then we're back to some sunny, but also very chilly temperatures, maybe even freezing going into the weekend. so we'll continue to monitor all the impacts of this weather over the next f

you can see bull's-eye over ukiah, guerneville, santa rosa off the coast right there, bodega bay, redwoodula got hit hard with this last storm system. we could see that well through this weekend as well, and the santa cruz mountains, which could see upwards of 8 inches of rain, close to 10 as this storm system rolls on through this week. heavy, intense rainfall will last as we go into the early morning hours on sunday, and of course piling up all of that sierra snow as well. we're doing very well with this rain that we've gotten since the water year started. we're looking at surpluses in santa rosa, oakland, and down hear in san jose as well, and some good news that i have to share with you is that all of this rain is helping, not completely eliminating that drought, but it has erased some categories right there in the central valley. they were looking at that exceptional drought category. that is gone for the time being and we have definitely made improvements in the bay area as well. we've gone from severe to moderate categories. in santa clara, santa cruz and northern sonoma county. al
