still i think for the evening if you're going out it's the big umbrella and golf size umbrella that you're going to need because we could see moderate and more heavy rain come our way this evening. of course we got quite a bit over the last 24 even 48 hours out there today on the cool dreary side of things. your temperatures today just in the 70s, making it one of the coolest days that we've had in more than a month. wow. after a high temperature of 101 on tuesday. here's a look at some of the rainfall totals over the last 24 hours. anywhere you see the dark green, the yellow, mainly d.c., areas to the north and east. anywhere from two to three to four inches of rain. take a look at the totals here. baltimore maryland, 3.25 inches of rain. ocean city over four inches of rain. annapolis maryland over half. gaithersburg, maryland, montgomery county, .78 inch of rain. what we're left after these showers and waves of rain mainly light rain moving through today. we're left with this. montgomery county south of gaithersburg, fairfax towards charles county moving east into prince george's county.

my facebook page check that out. >> and megan brought up the aspect of an umbrella. >> we need one? >> possibly. look at maryland's most powerful radar. we are dry but you can see showers looking back-- lushing back -- lurking back to the south and west. some of those could move in as we go through the rest of the morning and afternoon. we have lots of moisture to work with. so i am not going to rule that out. just have one nearby and put one in the briefcase as you head out this morning. we look at showers around harrisonburg and the heaviest stuff is off to the west and this will continue possibly going through time. temperatures coming in at 70 in frederick and germantown. 72. glen elk at 66 degrees. these temperatures are on the warm side and that's courtesy of the cloud cover that i've been talking about and that we are seeing from that rainfall that we are getting. but we look at the hour by hour forecast and today will be be a little bit cooler than what it was yesterday and the fact is the clouds are going to be around for today. we have a chance for a shower but this is exa
