upgraded against a suspected drunk driver---after a crash that led to fatal injuries for a child unborn at the time of the impact. jack kuenzie is in the newsroom judi, a sad story for everyone involved. it centers on a head-on crash a week ago saturday out in the gilbert area. two vehicles heading in opposite directions on old two notch road during the noon hour. one of those vehicles a 1995 cadillac sedan driven by 31 year old andalyn mills of pelion. the state highway patrol says that car crossed over the centerline, slamming head-on into a 2006 ford truck carrying a man and his fiance---who was seven months pregnant. we are not airing the mother's name at her request. she was in the passenger seat next to 34 year old nicholas hawes of gilbert. all three of the adults---including mills--suffered injuries severe enough to require hospitalization. but the couple's child, unborn at the time of the crash---only survived about three days on life support after being delivered via c-section and was pronounced dead on the 16th. the patrol initially charged mills with driving under the influe
