we see those clouds on our unca cam. winds out in the north at 6 miles per hour. 66 degrees and looking good on this paris mountain cam behind us. current conditions. we have a front that has stalled out across the mountains and the upstate. this is the trigger for the rain. bringing in that light rain that we're going to have on and off throughout the overnight. as we put the future cast in to motion midnight on, we see this warm front actually right over our region. but then cooler air pushing in for tomorrow. we're still talking warmer than average temperature. cooler than what we've been dealing with today. as this area of high pressure moves in, it's going to be a cloudy day with scattered showers on tuesday. tuesday at 6 o'clock, things are about to change. we'll see that rain certainly pick up ahead of our next incoming cold front. some of this rain could be quite heavy at times. we also have a few thunderstorms that are going to be forming ahead of the front. we dry out behind that front late on wednesday. eventua

and we can see just a beautiful shot on the unca cam. 61 in asheville. we are windy. southwest winds at 17 miles per hour. but when we're in the 60s, not too shabby. greenville, 63. also quite breezy. breezes are going to eventually come down later on tonight. overall, though, we do have a few changes happening by midnight. we still have high pressure in control along much of the eastern u.s. so skies are going to remain but as we head towards day break, we see a weak cold front that will move in to the area. by morning commute time, 6:00 a.m., a few light showers in our mountains. but this front is going to quickly move through taking the rain with it. we have high pressure moving back in behind that front. so any kind of rain is going to be gone by mid to late morning. high pressure moving back in. the sun will come back out. once again, we're back in the 60s by 6:00 p.m., ending up a very nice monday afternoon. so we continue to get a break from winter on monday. tuesday, overall, starting off nice and dry at 6:00 a.m. but we are in line for some rain as we go in t

a beautiful blue sky on our unca cam. gusty wind, north-northwest winds so we feel more like we're at 38 degrees. keep that windbreaker handy if you're about to head out. mild in greenville at 50. light winds ending up a beautiful weekend. changes are upon us in the form of this cold front and as we put see this front is going to be moving in tomorrow morning bringing a rain/snow mix along with it. during the day we are going to see more of that mix and then as we cool back down again by tomorrow around dinner time, turning back over to all snow. we have a clipper system then moving in behind the first front. that is going to give us an additional shot of chilly air and keep the snow showers around as we go through the day on tuesday, even on into wednesday morning in the higher elevations making for tricky travel, gusty winds and cold air coming in along with that. so hour by hour future cast, we can see during the evening we're dry. by daybreak tomorrow, maybe a little bit of light snow happening right along the tenness

we can see on our unca cam, blue skies, 39 degree, breeze out of the north-northwest at 8. so the windchill we feel like we're around 33. bundle up if you're going to head out. meanwhile, in greenville, a few clouds. 45 degrees and light winds. the windchill of 43. cool for you but not too cold. however, we have so many changes coming up on this future cast. we see it begins at midnight tonight and we see this area of coast. this is going to continue to eastern third of the carolinas. meanwhile, we have this area of high pressure, which is going to keep us dry for the second half of the weekend. but check it out. a little bit of snow is possible in the raleigh area tomorrow towards the outer banks. if you have travel plans into eastern north carolina keep that in mind. for the mountains and the up state, it's going to be a weekend of sunshine. however, we have this cold front approaching as we go through late sunday night into monday look what happens. we have this mix of rain and snow, mainly snow showers in the mountains. as we head into the morning commute, 6:00 a.m. mon

right now in asheville, leicester carpet sales news13 sky cam network, we're at unca. it was 33. it was just 32 degrees last hour. look down here in the lights of the parking lot. these are trees. you can actually see the glazing on these branches occur and we're getting light ice accumulations. you can actually see that sheen on the roads. little icicels on the lens. down in the upstate, great news here, temperatures have gone above freezing. the ice is now rain. you can see some of that. watch this little glazing on the grass. it gets a little white and then the rain comes. now we begin to melt some of this off. that pink is all about freezing rain. pockets of pink. that is warmer air working in to this storm system and scouring some of this low level cold out. so the freezing temperatures are going to warm up. we've already seen a lot of ice accumulation in these areas over mcdowell, polk, down through henderson. down in to the northern upstate. weather advisories in purple. hendersonville, forest city. these are freezing rain much of the upstate. mcdowell, burke, yancey, mitc
