it makes no sense, no sense, 35 million people uninsured or underinsured underinsured.r health care outcomes are not particularly good. we have a higher infant mortality rate than many other countries. we have a lower life expectancy in many other countries and yet we end up paying almost twice as much per capita for health care. and that is why we've got to get the private insurance companies out of health care. [cheers and applause] now, i am the ranking member, which means leader of the opposition in the senate, on the budget committee. and i want to say a word about the republican budget that passed last month, and i'm going to tell you this because the media forgot to talk about it.
