when it comes to unh overall, the focus has been on this medical loss ratio.ou've had seniors accessing the health care system again after a pause for covid perhaps. it seems like it would have been a long time. in doing so, well, you know, when you don't get health care for a year or two, things tend to get worse, so there has been a higher level of cost associated with that and many of the insurers have been dealing with that certainly in their medicare advantage programs. you had 87.6%, i think, was the medical loss ratio. 86 and a quarter is where the am lists were br estimating. the tone and tenor of the call itself would be important to where the stock trades this morning. >> they maintained guidance ratios, but missed on the top line on the insurance and managed care business, miss on the optimum business. not substantially. they're still growing. they're also coming off a very strong year in terms of profitability and results. as far as what they could be facing, you know, on capitol hill, look, it's hard to know what the health care plan looks like un

i suspect unh will have an excellent quarter. what can i say? these stocks probably are going to work. the close, results from one of my favorite companies, jb hunt. i see this as a barometer business. it breaks down the strong and weak parts of the economy line by line by line. look at the positive reaction to delta this morning. keep in mind when you get strong earnings like from delta, they can indeed transcend the market's negative gravitational pull. finished up 9%. on friday, i'm watching for slb. that's we see rising oil prices. that's not enough to turn around the fortunes. it has been down in the dumps for a year and four months. i think the company might give us a more positive forecast given there's more drilling optimism around even as it's an international company. if you are a bull or trying to make sense of the market that goes down on good news, all i can say is that the stock market may seem like it's reacting inappropriately until you see the bond market. explain everything by the direction of interest rates. that's the key to

the stock is up 4.44%, your take on unh. >> yeah. i think it needed this good news. with the horrible shooting with brian thompson and that was only one reason of why it brought it down. it brought out exposure on how they were okaying payments for some of their procedures, and that people were worried they would lose a lot of business because of this. the stock was oversold and it bounced back and it was only a technical bounce, but now we have good news, and so that, i think, it will help the stock and it will help the stock hold up because let's face it, the market is in an uncertain area right now and people are looking for defensive areas and health care is certainly one of those and unitedhealthcare is one of the leaders in that group. >> let's move along to abercrombie. for all that we hear about the strong december retail spend and the shopping season, the stock is down 17% and they even had decent holiday shopping demand and raised their q4 profit outlook and apparently that outlook wasn't good enough. what do you do? >> i have a little surprise about the si
