you can see that beautiful color across the horizon, and that is thanks to all of those unhealthy air particulates hanging out in the lower atmosphere. so, tomorrow we do have to spare the air once again. and you may be asking yourself, why is it so incredibly dry? we've been dealing with this not only for this past winter, but really, all through last year. and what do we have set up in our atmosphere is what's known as a blocking ridge. and what this does, it stays in place, and it basically blocks any storm systems from coming into our region. and with all of that warm air that continues to pump in from what's usually left across the equator, all of that continues each and every day, and really for months now to be pumped right here across the bay area. so, we've got this blocking ridge that's set up in place. and not only is it blocking any storms from entering our atmosphere, but really keeping a lot of the cloud cover at bay as well. not even seeing a whole lot of fog. and what we're going to need in order for this blocking ridge to eventually move out of here, we're going to ne

so the pollutants getting trapped down below keeping the air unhealthy. this is going to be the major weather story over the next couple of days. we have a good storm system on the eastern seaboard. you have a lot of subtropical moisture making its way up from the south, cold air from canada, the two combining and we are starting to see snow into parts of the northeast. in fact, we have some pictures now of gillette stadium. they are getting the snow there already. and there's plenty more to come. in fact, some of these places overnight tonight and into tomorrow could see some very impressive amounts of snow. in fact, in the boston area, maybe upwards of 12 inches of snow. some places maybe even a little bit more. so all the way along parts of the northeast you will see some heavy snow even maybe as much as 10" into new york city. that would be something else. all right. back here in the bay area, we are far away from thinking about snow. about 67 degrees in morgan hill. 66 in san jose. about 67 in redwood city. and 63 degrees in half moon bay. east bay t
