to picket in support of a one-day strike regarding what workers say are unfair practices by the city. a union representing workers says 96% of them voted in favor of this strike. the pick, it starts at noon. it will be at city hall on primrose road. the san francisco unified school district and its trade union workers have reached a memorandum of understanding in order to avoid a strike. the deal includes the san francisco plumbers, carpenters roofers and other trades people. san francisco unified says that they agree to, quote, negotiate in good faith. and in exchange workers agree not to strike now, no any kind until february of next year, giving them time to work things out. that picking was supposed to start today. but instead they are going to be working on it. happening now, crossing arms at in union city are stuck in a down position and this is where it's near alvarado boulevard and dire street. the police say this is because of a mechanical issue. so they're asking you to avoid this while they work on it. the union pacific railroad should have it fixed soon away. kron 4 justin campbel
