really, it's been about palo alto, union city, fremont south.th of that, there hasn't been anything, at least that i've seen so far. if it has, it's been light and brief. there's been rain in the santa cruz mountains, been rain san jose and also down towards santa cruz proper as well. santa clara valley looks like this line is already drifting south. so i think for today it's a lot of cloud cover and not much else unless you go south now. tonight a low will drop in. the leading edge of it is up here. here, i'll show you that. up here. up here. it's right up here. it has a lot of cold air. and that may give others an opportunity to get in on some rain late tonight, more likely tomorrow. it's also going to keep our temps quite cool. you'll notice that the coldest air really doesn't filter in here until about noon tomorrow, so you can see where the line is. half moon bay, redwood city, fremont, really south. and i think that will be about where it stays. 40s 50s on the temps here, although i should add, you know, the weekend looks pretty good, but

the city of oakland's unionized service workers are poised to take an ambitious step to decertifying from their union to form a new independent union. leaders are launching a kickoff event this afternoon with a rally to mobilize the rank and file. organizers say workers have a voting deadline at the end of the month. it comes as oakland leaders continue to grapple with major budget cuts. but the city late last week did announce a plan to keep four fire stations open. council members later today are expected to authorize that plan. the superintendent of dublin schools says three students will be expelled following a large on campus brawl last month. that fight led to a lockdown at dublin high school. at least two students were treated a at a hostal and one student was briefly knocked unconscious. the school board must still get approval for those recommendations of expulsion. hundreds of north bay students heading back to school today after the campus was vandalized, so bad administrators had to cancel classes. the break-in happened early yesterday morning at john read elementary in r
