right now, lake avenue and union street are shut down because of the crash. we're joined live on the phone by al pullen. what can you tell us about the situation there? >> approximately 4 a.m. this morning, we received a call for a multi-vehicle which involved two vehicles crashed at the intersection of union and lake avenue. upon arrival we had four victims in one vehicle and two victims in the second vehicle. we used the jaws of life extrication to remove two victims and four victims in the s.u.v. are serious condition and the other two victims were transported to the hospital. >> chief pullen, this crash happened three hours ago, but the roads in the area are closed. any estimation when things may clear there? >> i suspect it will be at lengthy time. the police department is investigating the accident right now. it was of a serious nature and the intersection will be closed for-- until their investigation is concluded. amy: deputy chief al pullen on the phone with us this morning, we thank you so much for the update. we will, of course, continue to follow
