gas station owners and civil servants took to the streets in athens in anger. according to the 172 billion bailout by the european union, some 15,000 public service jobs will be cut this year. also, slashed the country's minimum wage, supplemental pensions and self-government departments. that pushed the dow industrials over 13,000 for the first time in years. scott mcgrew says it's a bit of fun in an otherwise nervous market. >>> well, good morning to you. the dow crossed 13,000 mark at about 8:25 our time this morning. nobody enjoys a good dow crossing more than our friends at cnbc. here's how they reacted -- >> for the first time since may 20th on an intraday basis, the dow is above 13,000. i -- no one i'd rather be with on the floor at this moment. what does it mean? what does it mean to the market? what does it say about the journey, the country, the world has been on for four years? >> i can answer that, carl. the dow hasn't been that high since 2008 but in many ways it's a lousy index. only tracks 30 stocks so it's not a good indication of overall markets. not as good as, say, s&p 500 which tracks 500 stocks but
