i've also talked to united airlines. here's what happened. united flight 22, l.a.x. to new york city, was supposed to leave. it was taxiing down the runway when a gentleman who was described as being of -- looked like he was middle eastern or, perhaps, arabic in appearance, he said he had to go to the restroom. right then. had to go immediately. the flight attendant objected. he didn't care. he went right into the restroom. he was in there about a minute. when he left he sat down in a seat again. he was in row 23. the flight attendant then went in to double check the restroom. she said she found a panel that looked like it was out of place or missing. it's not at all clear why or what happened. the individual denies any wrongdoing whatsoever. however, out of an abundance of caution, the pilot turned the plane around, went back to the gate. he was taken off the plane by lapd and one or two of what are believed to be traveling companions were also taken off. we have an nbc producer who was actually on the plane and he said they all appeared to be middle eastern or spea
