we've had united and continental merge. we had delta and northwest merge.st and airtran merge. as a result, there are fewer carriers and not as much competition. air fares are going up. we had a dozen rate hikes last year alone. i'm not so sure i buy the idea that we're going to see 1.2 billion people travel in 20 years. that may be a bit of a stretch, i think. i'm not sure that all the people who can fly, come up with the money to do so over the next 20 years will decide they are going to fly. we may have high speed rail. there may be other alternatives. we'll see how that goes. i think it is true don't look for air fares to come down. if you factor in the cost of inflation they haven't budged much over the last 20 years. you have to consider you're paying for your bags and all your drinks and everything else or leg room. that's not going to change. the airlines tell me that's not going to change. it's likely that air fares will go up. >> with a lot of these companies that have merged offering less flight, being less competitive, if there is that predictio
