before coming to this program, i actually watched onald reagan when he met with the united states senate youth program5 years ago and just to think this program has been long and alle that the history that's gone on since that was really surreal that we were all able to be a part of that. host: have you had conversations with people in this room that don't like president trump and of ou have, what kind conversations have they been? >> absolutely, i have. and rightfully so. so i think that's one of the great things about this program is the diversity in every way imaginable. and so a lot of issues that we've talked about today have been those issues that are the news ial and in today. and directly affect us. whether it be gun control or mmigration and for me, it's really humbling to see those other perspectives and to be able to -- one of the things of the things that was really stressed throughout this week were civility and truly listening to i think that's something we all were able to do this week. host: how did you get involved in this program? so i was actually a senate page in the summer. so goi
