eastbound 80 at university avenue.ust getting word of an oakland police chase and the suspect vehicle ended up crashing on eastbound 80 near university avenue. we don't have a lot of details about blocked lanes. we are not seeing slowing on our sensors but again this just coming in eastbound 80 at university avenue, oakland plymouth involved in a chase and the suspect vehicle crashed near that scene. so westbound 80 in the commute direction so far okay but we were also watching this crash as well also on eastbound 80 in emeryville so in the general area near powell street a car into sand barrels so chp is on scene for that and we have been watching this traffic alert in vallejo. and they are saying that they are going to have the on-ramp closed on wilson avenue. the on-ramp to westbound 37 closed until about 5:30 this morning. this was an overturned vehicle crash car was carrying up to five people inside and an airplane ambulance just left the scene so obviously possible major injuries reported in that crash. check out

i just graduated from ohio state university, "the" ohio state university, i guess, which i attended on a navy rotc scholarship. my sister was not in our rotc unit in ohio state. in fact, there were no women in that unit and to the best of my knowledge, there were no women in any of our rotc's across the country or in our military service academies in america either. a lot of people thought that was just fine. and while there were women who served then in our armed forces, they were denied the opportunities that i and the a lot of other men had that enabled us to advance in rank and to resume positions of ever-greater responsibility. i went on to serve in southeast asia and retire as a navy capital after 23 years of active and reserve duty. no women served with news my active duty squadron. but as the years passed, that gang to change. young women gained admission into rotc programs across america and into our service academies as well. they became pilots. they flew airplanes and helicopters, they served on ships and someday before too long they'll serve on some submarines as well. toda

let's say people who have been educated at university. they are able to read in english wherever they are in the country. and so an indian writer writing in english can be read anywhere in india. if an indian writer writes in the regional language, it's confined to that region. the great indian novelist and poet who won the nopel prize wrote in ban gori and many indians today are unaware of his work except in very poor translations. whereas english goes everywhere. even inside india it's a way for indian writers to be read around the country and then, of course, there's just the global power of the english language which allows those writers to move outside of the india and to be read around the world and that's, of course, attractive for writers to be able to have a wide audience, an audience in other countries. and so it means a lot of very talented writers have moved towards the english language as a medium of expression. english by the way is now classified as one of the official languages of india. so it's not an un-indian languages.
