so i've been proud to coach some really great people at the university of maryland, and people that i'll be friends with the rest of my life. the things you miss are the practice, obviously, that's the most fun. and then game night, when a game actual starts, these 9:00 games are the worst there is. you go all day. but when the game actually starts, those two hours, that's a great time, too. always goes back to the players. no matter what you do as a coach or after you're done coaching, your memories are the players. that's the way it works. i haven't watched a whole lot. probably on purpose. after this year, i think it will be fine, you know. i don't come to the games. i'm here tonight, obviously. but i don't come to the games, so. >> gary says he doesn't come because it's hard to watch. he misses it. also out of respect for the coach. he says he has to give the first year coach leeway, room to make his own name and he doesn't want to be anyone's shadow. congratulations. now he's doing work for the big 10 network. i'm dave feldman, i'll see you tomorrow. thanks for watching. captions by
