date has been set for george huguely, a man convicted of killing his ex- girlfriend at the university of virginiahuguely will be sentenced on monday for the murder of cockiesville native yeardley love. jurors found him guilty in february of killing love who was a la crosse player at uva as well. legal experts believe huguely will be sentenced to about 26 years behind bars. >>> governor martin o'malley is speaking today about academic institutions in maryland that have promising technologies. he'll be meeting with university leaders and entrepreneurs at the technology center in baltimore. governor o'malley is scheduled to take part in a ribbon cutting for a new company. >>> students in fredrick county schools, they are now getting an extra day off next month because world leaders are going to be visiting their area. the g8 summit is being held at camp david on may 18th as well as may 19th. the county sheriff has asked schools to be closed on friday and that's for safety concerns. fredrick county public schools has also asked for a special exemption so they don't have to make that day up in june. >
