whatever index of success you have it correlates unsurprisingly if you admit students who have over qualifications they are not going to do as well. speak and i respond to something roger just that? here's a point of agreement. i actually agree with you that we should take the lessons we have learned from three decades and apply it to everyone. i think s.a.t. score should be optional or not used at all because they predict little to nothing about how a person will succeed. there's very little difference in terms of success between a person a gets a 1200 a person who gets a 1300. there's no difference and a study that i cite in my book that looked at success among students of all colors said, found cumulative school gpa and grit and stick to it at this they went down the line the top six factors the s.a.t. test was never to be found. i think it's optional and hundreds of schools make it optional. the other thing i would say is i think schools need to do a better job of screening all applicants for this grit and stick to a deafness. these foundation is more selective than harvard. only four or 4.5%
