lower michigan, upstate new york as well. also near watertown in the northest -- most northern part of new york. it is chilly as you step outside. currently 37 at the inner harbor. 34 in westminster. 32 in frederick. although this is cold, this is above normal for this time of year. this has been the trend the entire year. we're above normal to start off the day. we'll be that way into the afternoon as well. a mix of clouds and sunshine early on. clouds start to thicken as we have a chance to see sprinkles with that approaching storm. temperatures in the upper 40's to near 50 degrees outside in afternoon. we'll keep an eye on that precipitation. you'll get periods of sunshine mixed in with clouds. a front coming down from the northern plains and sinking down over the south and east but weakening over the mountains. so really just a sprinkle as it starts off. clouds throughout the day. better chance for maybe rain showers earlier on to our north. this could possibly switch to snow. if we see snow it is going to be a flurry arou

the interior sections, north of philly all of upstate new york, hudson valley and new york city, central connecticut, north wards up into massachusetts. we have winter weather advisories in effect. possibility of a little ice accumulation and sleet. and then a little snow. tomorrow morning's commute is going to be a problem. now as far as temperatures go, big warmup in the middle of the country. there is the cold air in the east, warm air is already returning from the middle of the nation along with it, rain today. if you're in areas like memphis or little rock or nashville, that is going to be a little wet. as far as the week ahead goes, mild air over the southern half of the country. we're going to get a very active stormy pattern. a lot of heavy snow in the mountains. rainy weather in areas of northern california, especially think in oregon. a little bit of that moisture will try to move to the east. it's very dry in the east. we're going to get more clipper type systems. great lakes, do expect snow showers. bottom line is there is not any big snowstorms in areas of the east. if anyth
