as creating living space. the neighborhood that's grid with busy streets and in between are the narrow and underused streets that could be used to off set as public gatherering spaces and planted areas and conducive for people. let's scratch the surface of that. within a week, the community challenge grant and the mayor's office of greening had grownup from had it's own grass roots and it was kismit there was a coincidance of events. we sketched up a few drawings of what we could think of. which is to remove a couple of -- 3 on street parking spaces so as to narrow the road bed of the street and provide places to sit. you know, landscape the areas for the community of coffee drinkers, if you will. we started to realize. this will cost money and it's a tremendous opportunity to connect with the neighbors. neighbors being residence denies. mixed use alley has automatic repair shops. it has some residential and some businesses. and so you know it's not our traditional one block of residential users or something. so we reached out with the sketches we had and found a receptive audience. and i think that was you know so receptive it was like a yearning. people really looking for a good idea and a good place to d

people weren't used to seeing. and a business many being held up. and in george washington high school, the farther of our country pointing the pioneers west as they walk over a dead indian. most of the art is not controversial. most of the artists celebrates local produce. this is one of the most extraordinary murals i have seen. at a tuberculosis cemetery. they also painted a mural in san francisco. finally, it's on the outside of the berkeley community theater. all people brought together through the arts. unfortunately, it was not the last. the war came along. and anton refurgie. there were controversial. there were tried in washington in 1953. he had a panel showing the arts and sciences. there is luther burbank and jack london. there was a thing on the side. it says federal art project and has beginning and ending date. that is a wall which becomes a tomb stone. the artists themselves are becoming ghosts. that's what he's doing there. joseph danish. head of the projects, it is it was a wonderful time that he woke up every morning wondering how long it would last. they were being paid to produce public art. well, what happened of course is the war

as a couple of blocks of arguello a busy intersection through that stretch. also impacting several muni lines including the 38 geary which a lot of people use as well as the 33those lines. across the antioch bridge, nice and quiet. you can see a couple of headlights there. first sign of brake lights though through antioch just from a street to somersville improving closer to pittsburg and concord. so far, so good usually the slow spot out of the altamont pass but not seeing any yellow yet on our sensors. so 14 minutes from 205 to the dublin interchange. we had an earlier problem on the bay bridge, very early this morning. there was a two-car accident never really caused much of a delay, they were able to clear it quickly. and right now no problems at the bay bridge toll plaza. the metering lights have not been turned on yet. not likely for another half hour or so, so that's why it's still good heading into san francisco. and as we are seeing from our live sensors, looks great all across the upper deck. lower deck into oakland fine, as well. this is the san mateo bridge. definitely busier now than in our last traffic report about 15 minutes ago. this is the c
