alex savidge is live at san francisco city hall to tell us about this plan to improve efficiency anding. i just spoke recently with a spokesman for the municipal transportation agency. he tells me this project makes someone reliable. right now, they are in the middle a meeting. at the end of the meeting, they will be voting on a sers of sweeping changes to the system and are responding to feedback from riders. among other things, routes will be eliminated, others will be added. some will be realigned. this plan is known as the transit effectiveness project. it will be the first big big service overhaul. they will vote whether to green light this project. this was developed with a lot of public input. in some cases, buses would pick up more often. other routes, less often. there mob more express -- would be more express lines. they are trying to stream line a system that some say can be unreliable. >> we're trying to ensure that this is meeting today the need of san francisco. we've had a system in place for hundreds of years. we're trying to make sure it's up to the 21st century need

city ended late last night in san jose. allie rasmus is live at san francisco's hall of justice with what police are telling us about that pursuit. >> aulas personal accounts personalall aspects are still under investigation. police are trying to piece together exactly what happened here. in the meantime, the officer who was injured is expected to recover. he's still at san francisco general hospital. police say they have three people in custody who they believe are connected to this officer involved shooting that happened in san francisco yesterday. those three people were in the white sedan you're looking at. at 11:00 last night, the driver of this car was spot by police in richmond. then that driver led the chp from a chase from there through danville on 680 to san jose where the pursuit finally ended at a gas station on north 33rd 33rd. view et police say there was no crash, no collision. no one was injured. but the three people in that vehicle were detained. again, this all stems from an officer involved shooting that happened around 3 yesterday afternoon in san francisco's mission district. officers tried to pull over a ve
