for us city wide to deal with the different issues and the federal government has really dropped a ball on us and for us to pick it up and say no, we can't forget those people who are the most vulnerable in our society. i'm more than happy to support those efforts. i'm glad on a selfish district note, this budget will help support some of the issues i've been fighting for which is pedestrian safety and for actually to get some more open space in my district. there's certain areas in my district for instance that don't have any open space and this will be one step toward that direction. i also want to -- i know there's been some adds on a list on childcare and preschool, it's not a great amount, but it's there. and i'm really thankful for the committee to do that. i also want to mention that originally there were $2.2 million worth of ask for early education, a need that has not been fulfilled in this city even though we talk about it for decades and that although this is not reflected in any changes in this budget, i'm very, very proud that there's been commitment on this committee to l
