and it's a difficult issue given that we are not doing the budget in a way that gets us down into the weeds plus what's being asked for. god forbid we shouldn't be doing that we don't have the expertise to make the appropriate judgements at that level but we need to ensured against the tendency for organizations to grow over time. someone asked for something to be done and we need the positions to do the work. the part that didn't happen we don't have to do anywhere are the things we can do smarter and better ray and those things don't come in the as a way. so the question is how do you responsibly exercise the judgment and that's for the general manager to do. we have a role in that as well. and i think we need to know, you know, for those items that come up we need to get them scrutinized. there needs to be a good presumption you know where there were many needs i need to find old needs to go away. the presumption is an important presumption that allows staff and management to make the tough decisions to get there were they feel they can't make the trades we need to consider those p

we are being criminalized due to poverty and inequality which has worn us down. we suffer from discrimination, low wages, no incomes and violence, especially for lgbtq people of color. poverty and economic inequality must be addressed to end our crises, not criminalization. last june there were horrific statistics that came out during pride about the high number of lgbtq young people homeless in san francisco. thises was followed by the rate of lgbtq elders committing suicide because of poverty. 29% of homeless population in san francisco identify as lgbtq. as queers we have often been forced to leave families due to violence, bullying and home phobia and we end up on the streets to this day. ~ homophobia when we end up on the streets, we're vulnerable to be arrested, exposed to violence and ending up in jail. queer or not, when we are in jail or prison, our loved ones suffer and have to do an additional work load as a result. it's a huge amount of work, getting the loved ones out of jail, keeping their dignity or helping them deal with the enormous trauma and ab

hear people saying encouraging things about vision zero but the plans i heard aren't going to get us down to zero fatalities. distracted driving is dangerous and i hope enforcement can eliminate it but there were deaths long before cell phones. the problem is taking a multi ton piece of metal and driving it through a crowded city is dangerous. he got to visit jeremy, all three of the cities i visited had no traffic in their city centers. they keep the cars out of their city centers where people are walking and shopping and enjoying the businesses. it's good for people and good for health. it's good for people. we need to adopt the policy like that. instead of in san francisco what i encountered while walking down the street are metal barriers that says i can't cross the street there and i need to instead cross the street i'm walk along, cross the street i want to cross on the other side and then recross the street i'm walking along. we've already herd that crossing streets is dangerous, now i need to cross three streets to cross one street. this is not prioritizing people before vehicles.
