us up to date. >> reporter: renee, we're waiting to hear from stratford police as well as hospital higher-ups. some information over the last hour coming in. what we can confirm from the camden prosecutor's office, this all unfolded an hour ago, 10:15 at memorial hospital in stratford. you can see police on the scene. behind us skyforce 10 was overhead. prosecutors are confirming they are investigating this shooting that apparently occurred inside the hospital allegedly in room 286 perhaps close to the emergency department. what we can confirm by means of the prosecutor's department as of a few moments ago is that both the male and female were both shot. the man was believed to have shot his wife and turned the gun on himself. we were initially told both are being treated. we understand one of them has, in fact, passed away. we can tell you no one has been evacuated from the hospital campus out here. also no patients are being turned away at this point. as you can see police on the scene, as well as hospital public information officer, nicole, just texted me a few minutes ago the shooter has been contained. whether or not that means the shooter who pulled the gun on his wife
